My Experience with Lotus Make-Up Colorstylo Matte Lip Color Coral Cake:
The ‘Lotus Make-Up Colorstylo Matte Lip Color’ range has about 9 shades in its collection. We girls always look for lip products that are easy on the lips and also on the pockets. This lip color range has a velvet matte finish to it and most of us love matte lip colors, so this is a pretty cool range to try out.
Packaging: The lip crayon comes in a nice colour-coded packaging that corresponds to the lipstick shade and helps to identify the shade easily. The brand name and other details are mentioned on the body of this bullet in white fonts. The transparent cap closes securely in place. The shape of the crayon bullet is like a pencil and it makes application on the lips very precise and even. The lip crayon has a swivel up mechanism which is similar to a lipstick and you can take out as much product as you need. The size of the packaging is small, so it can easily come in your makeup bag. The shade code is mentioned on the bottom of crayon body. Overall, the packaging is travel-friendly and sturdy.

Shade: The shade “Coral Cake” is a super gorgeous orange colour with a mix of red undertones to it. The colour looks extremely vibrant on lips. A sure head-turner, it brings your face to life and brightens up your complexion. This shade is perfect for summer. You might be sceptical about flaunting an orange lippie, but this shade is pretty wearable, you can wear it at any time of the day. It is perfect for any sort of occasion. You can wear it as an everyday shade or even for night outs. The colour is not that bold and it will flatter all Indian skin tones.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this shade is decent. It doesn’t require effort to cover the lips properly. On my lips, it needs 1-2 swipes to obtain the true colour payoff. Pigmented lips will need more swipes for fuller coverage. It is very easy to layer the product to build the intensity. But, if you keep layering it in excess, you might witness some sort of patchiness. This lipstick has a yummy vanilla fragrance to it which I love. It is not at all overwhelming, so will not be an issue for sensitive noses.

Texture and Finish: True to its description, this is a lipstick with a velvet matte finish. It has a smooth texture that glides on the lips effortlessly for an even application. It causes slight pulling or tugging during application.
It is not ultra-creamy and soft which I thought it would be. It takes about some time to settle down and it does not bleed. Though this is a matte lipstick, it does not make my lips dry and flaky. It is not much nourishing but it does give a healthy look.

The formula is very lightweight and does not cause any discomfort when I rub my lips. It did not highlight the fine lines of my lips much. This lip crayon is not completely transfer-proof and smudgeproof. So, it does get messy if it comes in contact with objects.
Staying Power: This lipstick stays for a decent amount of time. It is surely not long-lasting. It can stay for about 5-6 hours without food or drinks. If you are having oily meals, then the formula breaks down from the center of your lips. After it fades away, it leaves behind a beautiful stain. Removal of this lipstick is super easy. Any normal makeup remover can remove it completely.

Overall: This is a perfect colour for summers and it goes with all skin tones. It gives nice matte finish which I love. If you love matte lips but don’t want to be overshadowed by dryness, then this range is perfect for you. Overall, I loved my purchase.
