Hi IMBBians,
Etude House is one of the popular Korean brands out there famous for both their skincare and makeup. Though not everything from them is a hit, some definitely are way more effective than other costlier brands. Here I have a product from their Play 101 collections. They introduced that as multipurpose sticks that can be used for face, cheek, eyes and lip makeup. This product is number 20 from the collection. Read on to know the review.

Product Description:
A multi-function colour stick for eyes, cheeks and lips, that creates colour impacts with smooth and sheer finish.
Apply with fingertips where a colour is desired.

My Experience with Etude House Play 101 stick – 20:
I am a makeup novice and when I had to attend multiple weddings and had to do my makeup, I was looking out for products that will be easy to use and at the same time multipurpose. That is when I remembered this product. I had used a similar product long back and since I had a good experience using it, I went in with the purchase. The product comes packaged in an outer carton and the product itself comes as a twist-up type stick with a cap. The outer body is made of plastic and the stick had to be twisted multiple times to get a decent amount of product outside. The lower part of the stick is colour-coded and if you have multiple sticks, it will be easy to identify the product you want to use.

This product is gold in colour and it is soft and creamy like in texture. It also has a rose essence like smell which I liked. This colour is gold but not shimmery when it is not blended. If you blend it well, the dark gold colour gets spread and the shimmers are visible. This is dark gold in colour and depending on your skin tone, you can use it as a bronzer, as an eye shadow and also as a subtle highlighter. It does not give the usual dazzle of a highlighter and so, it can be very useful for daily purpose.

I also used this as a base colour for eyeshadow. But, because of the creamy texture, it gets settled into even the tiny creases after a while and the eyeshadow applied over it doesn’t settle down well. So, I will not recommend this for eyeshadow.

One more use I found for this product was the use in place of a strobe cream. It had the subtle glow and also the creamy texture made it easy to blend with the foundation or BB cream. But, it might not give the same effect for everyone. You have to play yourself with it to find out various uses of it and so it was rightly named as play stick. You can use this also for highlighting the brow bone or the eye bag area if you are into it.
It did not have much staying power and it smudged a lot if you do not powder it down. Honestly, it was fun to experiment with it and it served its purpose well too.
