My Experience with Sunsilk Coconut Water and Aloe Vera Volume Hair Shampoo:

It’s been long that I haven’t used any Sunsilk products, and I’m not a fan of their product too, but the new range comes with some interesting ingredients which tempted me to buy them. Volume shampoo comes in a clear plastic bottle with a flip-flop cap, and due to the blue inner content, it looks so attractive as well. It’s a simple and lightweight product and at the same time super affordable too.

Now, the formula is like a gel that glides over scalp easily and lathers well. Its rich formula cleans hair deeply and reduces the oiliness from hair. Only a few massages can create enough foam which helps to remove dirt and impurities. The formula is lightweight and gentle for the itchy scalp too.

We all know that aloe vera and coconut water are extremely good to nourish our hair and it does provide softness too. But this shampoo didn’t work up to my expectation. I have quite normal soft hair, so it works fine on me, but it can’t provide that rich long-lasting hydration and can’t repair dry damaged texture. Due to its lightweight and non-oily formula, it helps to add volume and reduces the limp flat look. Also, hair looks fresh for long. I can style my hair easily. Initially, the hair feels soft and smooth but as the time passes, it turns frizzy so I always require a good conditioner or serum to lock the moisture. Also, the volume is not long-lasting as well and the effect starts reducing from the next day. The formula is good for daily usage, but it’s not a product that will work deeply for problematic hair. It can’t keep hair manageable for long.

Personally, I prefer light chemical-free gentle shampoo for daily usage, but it contains chemicals as well. The only thing that I love is its fragrance which is good for summer to reduce the odor.

Not really. If you want a lightweight affordable shampoo, then you can give it a try as it instantly provides freshness to hair and good for oily scalp, but if you want something rich in hydrating or repairing, then you should try something else.
