My Experience with NYX Professional Makeup Vivid Brights Creme Colour Sugar Rush:
Beginning with the packaging of the product. It comes in a small transparent glass jar. There is a label at the base of the pot, which bears the shade name. The pot closes securely with a color-coded screw-on cap, which has the brand’s tagline printed on its top. The glass jar needs to be stored carefully. Overall, the packaging is nice and I do not find any flaws in the packaging.
“Sugar Rush” is a pastel lavender kind of shade. It is too pale and looks very light on my skin. This shade is not apt for medium to deep skin tones. But, if you are creating a creative makeup look you may make use of it. It works nice as an eye shadow in combination with other eye shadows but looks too pale when as an eyeliner. It does not contain any kind of sheen or shimmers in it. The formula is so damn pigmented. One swipe gives an intense color. You may achieve opaque coverage easily. When used as an eye shadow it is super blend-able. The color is vibrant and looks lovely on the eyes.
The texture of the product is creamy and smooth. In the long run, I have noticed that this product has started to dry slightly. So, I mix a drop of Inglot Duraline to make a smooth and creamy texture. It is really easy to pick the product on the brush or on fingers. Since it is creamy, it is so easy to blend and it takes time to set so I get enough time to blend it properly. But, I always make sure not to move my eyelids before it sets as it budges initially. But, once it sets it is pretty much transfer-proof for normal to dry skin people but it does not dry down completely on very oily eyelids.
It sets to a nice matte finish. The formula is safe on my sensitive eyes. It does not cause eye allergies even when I used it on my waterline. The eyes need to be prepped and primed properly to avoid any creasing and for a smooth look. It does emphasize the fine lines if the eyes are not primed well. If your eyelids are too oily make sure you set them nicely with a mattifying powder so that it will keep this crème color on the place.
It lasts for 5-6 hours on my eyes with a little fading. It never gets patchy. It can be easily taken off with the good eye makeup remover. Overall, I am happy with this shade as I am head over heels in love with the color but the formula could have been better.
