Today, I will be sharing my experience with VLCC Specifix Professional Age Defying Face Scrub. Read on the product review to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with VLCC Specifix Professional Age Defying Face Scrub:

Specifix Professional Age Defying Face Scrub comes packed in pure white coloured tube which houses all the details about the product including product description and ingredient list in English. The tube has a broad golden band on the top of it which gives it a different look packaging-wise. This golden themed packaging is similar for all the products in the age defying range. It comes with a white-coloured cap which closes tightly with a light click. The closure cap is leakage proof. The size of the tube is perfect for carrying it for travel purposes. Overall, I love the colour-themed packaging and its sturdiness. It is simple but it is pretty.

This face scrub is light golden in colour and it contains tiny white exfoliating particles in it. It feels quite gentle on your skin and don’t rip your skin off the moisture. The product has a gel like texture and feels a bit on the runnier side. You would need a coin sized amount to cleanse your skin properly. The formulation spreads on the face evenly and is quite easy to work with. The scrub particles are able to exfoliate the skin properly. The odour of this face wash is pleasant and won’t bother sensitive noses.The ingredient list of this face scrub is intriguing. It contains turmeric oil, pomegranate extracts which are great for matured skin types.

The fine scrub granules feel non-abrasive on skin on massaging. After applying the scrub, these granules do not disappear to get absorbed into the skin. The scrub feels quite gentle for regular use. After applying this product, I massaged it onto the face in circular motions for about 5-10 minutes focusing more on the areas that have blackheads and whiteheads. Then, I washed off the product with lukewarm water. This product is easy to rinse off as well. No residue is left after it is washed off.

Let’s talk about the efficacy of the product. This product thoroughly cleanses the face in the very first go. It leaves my face feeling super fresh and rejuvenated. It takes away all traces of dirt and grime effectively. This also erases all the dullness that your skin and reveals a nice glow. It leaves my skin so soft, smooth and moisturised. It gently exfoliates the surface dead cells and makes skin quite smooth to touch.

This product does not highlight the dry patches of my face. Since I have dry skin, it is greatly suited for my skin tone. During summers, I did not feel the need to follow up with a moisturiser. But during winters, I may hydrate my skin because my skin becomes extremely dry then.

It has worked quite well with whiteheads. In case of blackheads, I have seen no effects. I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and my skin feel more clean and fresh. In addition to that, it suited my skin well and did not break me out. It does not give any instant brightening effect, but it surely gives a clean youthful look which I love.

This was a decent try from VLCC because it is so affordable and offers a pretty good quantity and is sufficient to last for months. It works decently as a face scrub and has nice exfoliating power. Other than that, it performs no extra-ordinary task.
