I recently picked up 2 semi-permanent hair dyes from L’Oreal Paris. Today’s review is all about L’Oreal Paris Colorista Wash Out Lime Green Neon Semi-Permanent Hair Dye. Read on to know more.

L’Oréal Colorista Washout Lime Green Neon Semi-Permanent Hair Dye lasts 10-15 shampoos so you can switch up your hair colour when you want. With Chroma-Cream technology in a nourishing hair-mask base, it colours your hair while conditioning at the same time. Colorista Washout Lime Green Neon Semi-Permanent Hair Dye washes out over time, shampoo after shampoo. To speed up fade, use Colorista Fader Shampoo.

My Experience with L’Oréal Paris Colorista Washout Lime Green Neon Semi-Permanent Hair Dye:

The product comes in a cardboard package. There is an opening at one side through which you can see the product inside. There is a lot of information about the product on the outer package. Once you open the box, you can find the tube, a leaflet with instructions and a pair of gloves. The product comes in a bright green tube with a black flip cap. The design and size is similar to that of a hand cream. In the front of the tube, there is no much design except for the name of the product. On the back, you can find some information of the product. The flip cap closes well with a click. The tube being small is travel-friendly. The packaging is pretty simple.

The hair dye has a gel-like texture. It is not creamy but the consistency is similar to that of a gel crème. It is neon lime green in color. It has no particular fragrance to it. It is very mild and you can hardly feel it. The leaflet contains instructions to do highlights, ombre or full head coverage.

There are some 19 shades available in this range. With this product, you do not have to wait for the hair color to stay long. They wash away within 10 washes and there is also a fader shampoo available through which you can fade the color from your hair faster. The product must be left on for around 15-20 minutes and then washed off. I have dark brown hair. I have never coloured my hair nor have I bleached it. I tried it on a little of my hair to do a test. I applied the color, left it on for 20 minutes and then washed it. I dried it to see if I notice any difference but, I didn’t see anything initially. But, when I go in the sun, I can see a little difference.

I see hints of green but it is not very strong that could be easily seen. The color is brightly visible only on light hair. But for darker hair, it doesn’t impart any color. On light brown-dark brown hair, you can see a light hint only in the sun light. The product must be applied to bleached or blond hair. If you have darker hair, you can give it a try or can skip it. So, summing up.
