I am always very excited to try different foundations. The only foundation I didn’t get my hands on was creamy foundation. So this time I picked something different from one of my favourite brands these days – Kiko Milano. I had picked this ‘Creamy Matte Foundation’ because of its unique packaging and texture. So, let’s see how this product fared.
Price: $ 22 for 25 ml
Product Description:
• Creamy matte foundation.
• The soft and ultra-sensory texture ensures a luminous matte finish and silky soft skin. Works into skin easily and perfectly hugs the contours of the face.
• The product’s lightness on the skin provides a feeling of comfort that envelops the face, leaving it as smooth as silk.
• Transform the skin in one simple step: skin is radiant, the face glowing and the complexion perfectly refined. Imperfections are visibly minimised.
• Its perfect medium-full coverage is buildable, for porcelain-like skin that lasts.
• Suitable for all skin types.
• Miniature pro foundation brush included. Its synthetic fibres and diagonal tip guarantee easy, precise application.
• Available in 8 shades.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water /eau), Dimethicone, Talc, Lauryl Peg-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Dimethicone/vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Acrylates/dimethicone Copolymer, Dimethicone/peg-10/15 Crosspolymer, Hydrogen Dimethicone, Benzoic Acid, Aluminum Hydroxide, Methicone, Dehydroacetic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Tocopherol. +/- (May Contain): Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77492 – Ci 77491 – Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides).
Packaging:
This creamy foundation comes in a glass packaging in the form of a heavy jar. It has a blue lid which mentions the brand name. The blue outer box mentions all the details of the product, like shade name, ingredients, quantity and price. The blue lid prevents any spillage of the product. The packaging is hygienic because one doesn’t need to dip fingers inside it as there is a small kabuki brush provided inside the box. The packaging isn’t travel-friendly because of the weight and glass.
Texture:
The consistency of the product is between a liquid foundation and a mousse. It is quite thick and not at all runny. Only a small amount is required for the whole face. I prefer to apply it with the brush provided with the product. However, the brush is not enough to get the desired finish; a damp Beauty Blender is must to get the natural finish.
My Experience with Kiko Creamy Matte Foundation:
The packaging of this foundation is tiny and adorable, but one needs to keep it safe inside the box as the tub is made of glass. I have combination/oily skin and this foundation is working perfectly for me. It feels very light on my face.
The shade ‘Warm Beige’ is just right for my complexion and doesn’t give the cakey or patchy appearance. It’s extremely light and airy. It almost feels like applying nothing to your face, which I love. However, it doesn’t blend very easily with the foundation brush provided in the packaging. So, I blend it with a sponge after swiping it with the brush.
After about 5 minutes of application, the foundation kind of settles on my face and looks very natural. It has a matte look, so it’s going to be great for oily skin in summers. It provides medium coverage. It covers my acne marks and makes my skin look even. I could notice oil around my T-zone after applying it for more than 5 hours, so I usually set it with my pressed powder with a large powder brush.
Pros of Kiko Creamy Matte Foundation:
• Cute packaging
• Very natural-looking finish
• Nice texture
• Brightens up the face
• Evens out my skin tone
• Has a light feel and provides medium to full coverage
• Easily blendable
Cons of Kiko Creamy Matte Foundation:
• Expensive
IMBB Rating: 4.6/5
