Hi everyone,
Wet n Wild Beauty is one of my favourite drugstore brands when it comes to makeup. They recently released their liquid highlighter range which has these shades – Halo Gorgeous, Halographic, Halo Goodbye, Rosy and Ready, and Guilded Glow. Today, I will be be reviewing Wet N Wild MegaGlo Liquid Highlighter in the shade Guilded Glow. So, let’s see how this shade fared for me.
Price:
$5.99 USD for 0.5 fl oz.
Product Description:
Intense is the name of the game with this buildable liquid highlighter that delivers a multi-shimmer glow thanks to its shimmering pearl pigments. The hydrating formula is infused with powerhouses like Murumuru Seed Butter, Grapeseed Oil, and Vitamin E to help smooth out the skin’s texture. You’ll look radiant–even after a sleepless night.
My Experience with Wet n Wild MegaGlo Liquid Highlighter Guilded Glow:
Packaging: The packaging of the Wet N Wild MegaGlo Liquid Highlighter in the shade “Guilded Glow” is super sleek. The highlighter comes in a transparent tiny but sturdy glass bottle with a twist-up cap. The cap has a large doe-foot shaped applicator, just like “Shape Tape Concealer.” Since the liquid highlighter comes in a glass bottle. I don’t feel you can take it on your travel trips. Overall, the packaging is beautiful and sturdy but not very travel friendly.
Texture and Application: “Guilded Glow” highlighter has a smooth and creamy texture to it. This highlighter has beautiful golden shimmering pearl in it. It is infused with murumuru butter and grapeseed oil. The highlighter is silky smooth to touch. You can mix this highlighter into your foundation to give an overall dewy fresh glow or you can just apply this highlighter on the high points of your face and blend it with a Beauty Blender. This highlighter blends away easily; however, if you apply it on top of powder, it shifts the product underneath.
Pigmentation and Coverage: This product is well pigmented. You do have to build it up if you want an intense glow. If your goal is to get a natural and subtle glow, then this is perfect. This highlighter is perfect to wear for your everyday use.
Shade and Finish: “Guilded Glow” is a beautiful champagne gold highlighter. The highlighter contains luminescent gold pigments which are not too shimmery or glittery. The glitter is finely milled. This highlighter gives a beautiful sheen to the skin. It does emphasis my pores, so I do need to be careful to not go overboard with the highlighter. It can be used on top of the cheekbones, bridge of the nose and corner of the eyes to give a naturally luminous skin. There is no duochrome effect. It has a super lightweight and blend-able formula that imparts a smooth effect and feels like nothing on the skin. This shade of highlighter will suit Indian skin tone perfectly.
Staying Power: The staying power is good. It stays on for around 5 hours without the need to reapply.
Overall, I am really loving this Wet n Wild Megaglo liquid highlighter.
