My Experience with Erborian Black Cleansing Oil:
If you have oily skin and if you are still wondering about using cleansing oils, I think you should start with the Erborian Black Cleansing Oil. It has charcoal in it and it is legit! I think it is the best cleansing oil for those with oily skin. I have dry skin and I absolutely love it. It is a black-colored oil and when you rub it on your skin, it kind of turns a little ashy. When you emulsify with just a little bit of water, it becomes a milky white kind of color.
One of the first two ingredients mentioned are water and glycerin, so it feels very light on the skin. It literally removes every last speck of makeup and because of the charcoal in it, I feel like it is kind of sucking out all the impurities, any sebum or oil on your skin, but that said, it does not leave my skin dry at all.
It is almost like a good clay-based oil, but you know, it does not dry out your skin or strip your skin off of moisture. The only downside I feel is that it has to be used within three months and it’s not even a small bottle, it’s a 190 ml bottle. I use it every other day, because I have normal to dry skin, but if you use it everyday, you would be able to finish it off. The bottle is very simple, it’s a black bottle with a white cap on top of it. It’s like a very simple bottle with a small opening. A pump would have been better but this is like quite a functional packaging. It’s absolutely nice.
This cleansing oil has never broken me out. It gets rid of all the gunk on the skin. It’s like my second cleanse. First, I would just get rid of whatever makeup would come off with Bioderma, and then I would really need deep cleansing. When I have a full face of makeup on, I cannot do without using this oil. It has become my holy grail cleansing oil. I like it even more than Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil, but Bobbi Brown cleansing oil suits my skin more because it’s more gentle on my normal to dry skin type, but I would like to have both these in my kit. This one literally just soaks up every last trace of product from the skin, and I feel it cleanses the pores and it’s just amazing.
The only that is that it is not only available in India, but if you can get hold of it, that’s amazing. It’s a Korean brand, and I have used a lot of their products before also. I think it’s absolutely absolutely amazing. It has never broken me out, never irritated my skin, it is free of parabens and sulfates.
You know with some cleansers how you get that squeaky clean feeling on your skin, that’s the feeling this cleansing oil gives when you use it. All I can say that is I am really obsessed with it, highly highly recommend it!
Because it’s not available in India, I would give it IMBB Rating 4.8/5
