Skin Type: Combination
Hello ladies,
All of us want to have clear, glowing skin, but not everyone is blessed with such a skin type, and that’s when makeup comes to our rescue! Hello flawless skin!!! I have been hunting for an affordable primer that would help conceal pores around my nose. A couple of months ago, I noticed that the Maybelline counter had 5 new variants in the “Master Prime” range. I finally picked up the “Pore Minimizing” primer a few days ago.
Price and Quantity:
7.95 € for 30 ml.
Product Description:
Visibly reduces the appearance of pores for smoother looking, even skin. Use alone or under makeup.
Ingredients:
My Experience with Maybelline Master Prime Pore Minimizing Primer:
I have small pores around my nose which started bothering me when my BB cream/ foundation was not giving me the finish I wanted. The pores are clearly visible under direct sunlight, but otherwise only noticeable when looked closely. So, I was very excited to try out this particular variant of the primer.
The product comes in a white/grey squeeze tube. The nozzle dispenses just the right amount of product. It has a very faint smell that doesn’t linger. On applying, it gets instantly absorbed and my skin feels soft and slippery to touch. It does not leave any sticky residue behind, but unfortunately, it does not help much with the pores. My pores look slightly blurred, but that’s about it. I wouldn’t wear this primer alone, without a BB cream either.
However, with this primer underneath, my foundation/BB cream does last long for a couple of hours more. Even my Essence Blush stays in place throughout the day. The primer doesn’t cause any breakouts as well.
Pros of Maybelline Master Prime Pore Minimizing Primer:
- Skin feels smooth to touch.
- Very slightly blurs facial pores.
- Prolongs staying power of makeup.
- Smooth texture.
- Only a little product is sufficient for the entire face.
- Lightweight, gets instantly absorbed.
- Doesn’t clog pores.
- Doesn’t make my skin oily/shiny.
Cons of Maybelline Master Prime Pore Minimizing Primer:
- Doesn’t really minimize pores as it claims to.
- No SPF.
- Doesn’t give an even-looking skin if worn alone.
IMBB Rating:
3.5/5
