My Experience with L.A. Girl Velour Velvet Blush Contour Stick:
The blush comes in a cute and chubby pan stick kind of a packaging. The body is color-coded and that helps to spot the shade easily during rush hours. The cap of the blush is clear and helps to see the shade from outside, but it does not make any clicking sound while closing and it may slip off.
So, I have to be careful while carrying it in my vanity to avoid the mess. The shade name and ingredients list are mentioned on the side of the lipstick. The twist up thing of the blush stick works pretty smoothly. Overall, the packaging is fine and there are no major flaws.
“Velour” is a beautiful berry pink shade. This is a beautiful subtle pink shade, which looks lovely on my cheeks. This shade is apt for a wide variety of Indian skin tones. The shade is subtle and gives a natural flush of color to the cheeks.
There is no sheen or shimmer in this blush, so it looks absolutely matte and gorgeous. It is easily wearable at any time of the day. It is a perfect everyday shade. The blush is amazing in terms of color payoff, one swipe gives perfect natural color to the cheeks. It is a great choice for beginners who can easily keep control on the intensity of color to be built.
The color is easily buildable and you can achieve the color intensity according to your choice. I either use my finger tips to blend the color or Beauty Blender for a smooth finish.
The texture of the blush is nice, smooth and creamy. It glides effortlessly on the skin and blends totally like a dream. It does not highlight dry patches of my skin and also does not highlight my skin pores. It blends within seconds, giving a nice, natural finish. The blush has a creamy formula but still it does not make my skin oily.
It does not cast any oily sheath on the skin. So, it is a great option for those with oily skin too. Currently, I love using crème blushes more than powder blushes. It never gets patchy. The formula is non drying. Also, this brand offers cruelty free and paraben-free skin friendly products. If you have super oily skin, you may top this crème blush with a powder blush.
The blush lasts for around 5 hours or so on my skin, but the color fades away a little in mean time. The blush is very easy to remove. It comes off very easily using a make up remover.
