My Experience with Rimmel London Fresher Skin Foundation:
Rimmel London Fresher Skin Foundation comes in a sealed transparent glass jar. The blue twist cap also has a seal attached to the jar which breaks when opened. An inner white coloured lid sits between the cap and the jar which prevents any leakage but, I personally do not like the packaging. It gets messy when the jar tumbles upside or sideways, and the thought of dipping my fingers to scoop out the foundation makes me feel unhygienic and being prone to acne, I always make sure to wash my hands in order to keep them clean.
The foundation has a very smooth and mousse-like texture. It feels like it has a layer of liquid on the top. The product is super lightweight and feels like a gel crème. When applied, the foundation feels refreshing on the face. It has a fresh and pleasant fragrance, which I absolutely love. Only four shades are available in Netherlands, and thus, one has to compromise with the shades. I bought two different foundation shades to match my skin tone, which could be a setback for many. The shade, “Soft Beige” has a yellowish tint, which suits my skin tone well.
The foundation is easily blendable and buildable. It is a light-medium coverage foundation. It doesn’t completely cover up the blemishes or scars but does mask the redness and minor pigmentation on the skin. The product is lightweight, and you hardly feel anything sitting on your skin. The finish is very natural and fresh. The foundation also adds a dewy glow to the face.
The foundation lasts for a good 8 hours on my face and reduces the shine on my T-zone. I wouldn’t tell that it eliminates the shine throughout the day but, you can feel shine-free at least for 6 hours. The foundation lasts for around 8-10 hours before fading. The natural mineral powders make the foundation oxidise and thus, one should choose a lighter shade foundation. The product doesn’t clog the pores or cause breakouts. The foundation is suitable for everyday wear as it doesn’t look made up, and it evens out the skin tone while providing a light coverage, and with an SPF 15 protection, I feel that it is a good product.
So, summing up:
