Tina Craig Shares All the Details on Her Viral Face-Icing Hack That’s Taking Over TikTok
Since the onset of COVID, BagSnob’s Tina Craig—she’s also the founder of U Beauty Skin Care—has not been able to enjoy her favorite cryo-facials from celerity aesthetician Joanna Czech.
Her DIY solution: A de-puffing, glow-inducing, coconut-infused concoction that’s since gone viral (to the tune of a million-plus views) on Instagram and TikTok.
“I started recreating my own version of facial icing at home to de-puff—especially around the eyes—reduce inflammation and generally boost that glass-like glow I’m always after,” Craig exclusively told us. “It may not be a full-on spa experience, but it’s unbelievably easy and effective.”
The steps (and ingredients involved) really are simple: “I simply wrap a thin towel around ice—but not just plain ice,” she says. “While you can make skin-worthy ice out of everything from chamomile tea to oat milk, I like to make coconut milk ice cubes because they melt into a creamy slush that doesn’t feel as harsh as other cubes.”
Once you have the cube creation down, Craig says the radiant results will show on your complexion quickly. “It’s smooth, soothing and a few minutes is all it takes to revive tired skin.”
