Even though we do a lot to remove the tan from our faces, our back is often neglected. In this post, I will tell you about 10 ways to remove the tan from your back. These are easy home remedies and you can do them whenever you want to.
1. Lemon Juice and Honey
Lemon juice is rich with vitamin C which is a potent ingredient to remove the tan. Honey moisturizes and revives the dull skin along with soothing any irritation caused by the sun. Mix juice from one lemon with a spoon of honey and rub the mixture on the affected area for 10-15 minutes. Leave it on for 25-30 minutes and wash off with cold water.
2. Milk and Sandalwood Powder
Raw milk contains lactic acid that bleaches the skin lightly and removes the tan. It also improves skin elasticity. The sandalwood is great for curing any kind of darkness or dullness in the skin. Mix 2 tablespoon of sandalwood powder or paste with 4 tablespoon of milk and rub bit on the back in upward motion. Wash it off with cold water once it is dry.
3. Curd and Cucumber Juice
Curd, like milk, bleaches the skin naturally and makes it brighter. Cucumber juice has great soothing properties and it is rich in antioxidants that revamp the skin’s brightness. Mix 5-6 spoons of curd with 2 tablespoon of grated cucumber. It will feel very cool and relaxing on the back. Wash it off after 30 minutes.
4. Potato Juice and Tomato Paste
Both the ingredients are great as natural bleaching agents and they bleach the skin without causing any damage. Tomato also has antioxidants and vitamins that brighten the skin up. Mix potato juice with grated tomato and rub it all over the back to see immediate results. You can also mix juices of both and spray it on your back daily to see similar results.
5. Sugar, Lemon Juice, Banana Scrub
This works amazingly well on any tanned area including your back. This is a natural exfoliants that removes the dead cells and the dull, tanned layer. You can make a paste with these and mix honey if you wish to. Now scrub very gently till the time when the sugar granules melt away. Yu will see results as soon as you wash it off.
6. Saffron and Milk
Saffron is one of the most expensive and effective tan removal agent. If you have severe tan on your back and you need to get rid of it in 7-10 days, this will work like wonders. Mix a few strands of saffron in 34- spoons of milk and let the saffron extract dissolve in the milk. Apply the milk on your back and keep it overnight. Your tan will be gone by the end of a week.
7. Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera gel is a very soothing agent and soothes the sun burn. It is also a great agent to remove the tan. You can apply fresh aloe gel or from any brand and leave it till its dry. You can also use this to moisturize the back to get a two way benefit.
8. Oatmeal and Milk Scrub
This is an another great option to exfoliate the tanned skin and reveal the soft, fresh skin. Mix some oatmeal with milk and scrub the affected area gently. It also makes the skin soft and supple.
9. Papaya Juice
papaya is rich with antioxidants and it is great to remove dark spots from the skin. You will have to grate ripe papaya and apply the paste on your back. You can add lemon juice and honey to it to make it even more effective.
10. Watermelon Juice
Watermelon is rich in vitamins and minerals which gives the skin hydration and makes it lively and soft. You apply the juice all over the back after using the scrubs and packs mentioned here. Use it as a toner for the back. Top it off with aloe gel as moisturizer. Your back will be tan free and sexy with 14 days.
11. Saffron+Yogurt+Gram Flour Anti-Tan Face Pack:
For the pack what you need to do is soak kesar overnight in curd/yogurt. Soak two spoons of curd and ten kesar leaves/strands and keep in the fridge. Mix it up one tbsp of besan and apply on the back. Rinse off after 20 minutes. Do this twice weekly.
12. Almond Milk and Saffron Milk Whitening Pack:
Take a bowl and add milk, some kesar strands and three almonds to it. Let it soak overnight in the fridge. The almonds need to get soft and the kesar should yellow the milk well (soak them overnight). The next day, remove the almonds and peel the skin, and make a smooth paste of the almonds. Take some gram flour or besan in a bowl to bind the pack, add crushed almonds to it. Add the milk to it to make a face pack consistency. Apply for 15 minutes and rinse off with normal water. Do this twice a week.
13. Additionally, try this bacial routine once a week for smooth and soft skin.
14. Skin Lightening Scrub with Honey and Saffron:
Take a bowl and add about two teaspoons of gram flour. Then add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder to it. Add a few strings of saffron to this powder. Add almost a teaspoon of honey. Finally, add around 4-5 teaspoons of milk and mix all the ingredients well. Apply this scrub on the back. Scrub it in circular motion for around 3-5 minutes and then wash off. Pat dry your skin and you’ll see instant results. Your skin will look super fresh and your complexion will appear lighter. This scrub can be used alternate days since it is gentle and effective.
