This Reusable Face Mask Doubles as Hydrating Skin Care
Between breakouts, redness and that pesky ear irritation, besides that whole safety and “stopping the spread” thing, it seems like our protective facial coverings aren’t doing so much to benefit our complexions these days.
Enter Soliscia ($30), a reusable mask that’s made from state-of-the-art fibers infused with moisturizing skin-care ingredients like shea butter, which gives skin a dose of hydration.
According to the company—the light bulb idea is from Nufabrx, a brand that’s known for having patented technology that enables active ingredients and medications to be embedded into fabrics (think acne-fighting and sleep-inducing pillowcases powered by tea tree oil and lavender and yoga pants that work after you take them off)—the mask delivers benefits the second you put it on and keeps going through 25 cycles in the wash.
The double-layered masks are soft and silky (think a smooth fabric that feels like a comfy sock, even down to the ear loops) stay snug on the face, and are getting the backing of a bunch of doctors and even some celebrities.
As an added bonus, there’s also antibacterial and antimicrobial copper processed into the fabric, a potent and active mix that may up the ante against the fight on “maskne.”
