Jessica Simpson Says She’s Struggled With This Skin-Care Issue Since Childhood
For Jessica Simpson, 2020 has been the year of opening up.
From her memoir, “Open Book,” which recounts vulnerable childhood memories, to revealing the serious complications she faced after two tummy tucks, Simpson clearly isn’t in the business of holding back. Now, the 40-year-old former pop star and actress is revealing one more thing we didn’t know about her.
“Y’all know I love connecting with you about life experiences. For the first time, I’m sharing that I’ve had eczema since I was a kid,” Simpson captioned her latest Instagram photo alongside an announcement of her newest partnership. “After a recent eczema flare, I decided to talk to my doctor and was prescribed EUCRISA.”
While Simpson didn’t share where her eczema tends to flare, by the looks of her many clear-skinned, makeup-free selfies, it appears to be off the face. In an interview with Womens Health, Simpson named Aquaphor as her go-to for many skin issues, including “soothing dry skin and mild eczema patches.”
In her post, Simpson admits that everyone’s experience is different, but says “EUCRISA really works for me,” and is now hoping to inspire others suffering from eczema to have the #EczemaConversation with their doctors.
The prescription-only ointment is FDA-approved for treating mild-to-moderate eczema in adults and babies as young as three months. “If you or your little one have eczema, ask your doctor if EUCRISA could be right for you,” she says.
