Conscious Chemist has been one of my favourite quarantine ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ discoveries. I am all for scientifically-good ingredients and well-balanced skincare. This is a brilliant basic face wash. The only fragrance is grapefruit oil, which is pretty low on the list. The surfactants are mild. Contains olive leaf extract, Matcha Green Tea extracts (antioxidant) , glycerin (humectant) , citric acid (ph adjuster), niacinamide (works to even out the skin, dullness etc,) . Best, the first ingredient is water, which makes the base of this product; I mean such a hero product. It is a mild face wash, does not lather much but does it job as a second cleanser and a just an everyday face wash. Don’t expect it to give you that squeaky clean feel, which anyway is not great for your skin. It cleans without stripping your skin of natural oils. Has a mild citrusy fragrance. I am moving more towards fragrance free products but you literally wash it off after a minute so not a big deal for me. Very good basic face wash from an Indian brand would give any international brand a run for its money. Really appreciate that they give you full transparency with their ingredients.Love that. Highly recommend it.

Review of Conscious Chemist Indulge Facial Cream:
Price:
INR 1095/- for 60 ml
Ingredients:
Purified Water, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, Sunflower Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride ( coconut-derived), Cannabis Sativa (Hemp Seed Oil), Matcha Green Tea extracts, Cetearyl Olivate & Sorbitan Olivate, Stearic Acid, Chloride, Benzyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Grapefruit Oil, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Saccharide Isomerate (Pentavitin), Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate & 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Olive Leaf Extract, Sodium PCA, Sodium Hyaluronate.
Let’s start with ingredients. It is a water based moisturiser.
Aloe Vera Leaf Extract – hydrates and smoothes skin.
Sunflower Oil – fatty oil, high in leonic acid. Great for dry dehydrated skin.
Capric Triglyceride – excellent emollient and a skin replenisher
Cannabis Sativa (Hemp Seed Oil) – makes skin supple
Matcha Green Tea extracts – antioxidant
Those are your top ingredients. It’s a win anyway. It also includes Niacinamide, vitamin E, Cetearyl Olivate, benzyl alcohol (preservative), vitamin C. It is not a fragrance-free product. It has a mild and lovely grapefruit fragrance and I quite like it. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride being one of the top ingredients is actually a fragrance/emollient but the ingredient itself is quite beneficial for skin and quite gentle as well. I didn’t find anything bad about it though. There is also chloride in the list and I am assuming it is sodium chloride, which actually just salt and used as a thickening agent, it’s non toxic.
The texture is semi-thick. It comes in a dark glass bottle with a pump dispenser. The moisturiser takes a bit to get absorbed completely. It took me a little time to like this product because it does not get absorbed quickly and take a bit of massaging to get completely absorbed. I got used to it after a few uses. On its own, I sometimes don’t find it enough for my normal to dry skin, but I am never using this product alone and layering 10 other products along with it, so I don’t mind it. I absolutely love this moisturiser. It keeps my skin soft and I love the plethora of good ingredients in this. It is not your basic moisturiser but a step above. I would love a completely fragrance-free version as well. Till then, this would always be a part of my routine. I would say this moisturiser would be great for people with normal to dry skin not for people with oily skin.
IMBB Rating: 4.5/5
They have only 3 products in their range, and I use all 3. That’s how much i enjoy using this brand.
