I swear by micellar water when it comes to removing makeup. I keep switching them often and I do not stick to one. Recently, I picked up one from the newly launched Bio range of Garnier. I picked up 4 products in the cleansing range. Today’s review is all about Garnier Bio Cornflower Micellar Cleansing Water. Read on to know more.

My Experience with Garnier Bio Cornflower Micellar Cleansing Water:
The product comes in a green, round plastic bottle with a white screw cap. The screw cap also has a flip cap and it closes well without any leakage. There is a lot of information on the back of the bottle. The bottle is definitely bulky and I would not carry this on my travel but transfer it to a smaller one. The package is pretty decent. It sits beautifully on my bathroom shelf and matches the other products in the range. The main reason I picked this one was that it claimed to be Bio. I am trying Bioproducts and wanted to try this one.

The micellar water like any other product is clear and doesn’t have any color to it. It feels like water and is very easy to use with a cotton pad. It has a very subtle fragrance and you can hardly feel it. I love this concept of fragrance-free/ minimal fragrance range for the face. The fragrance is very pleasant.

The product when used on the face is very gentle and it didn’t cause any irritation or redness when I first applied. It doesn’t cause any greasy feeling and gently removes the makeup. The product like claimed is very soothing. When I have breakouts, I use the micellar water to gently cleanse the surface before using an acne cream and it gently cools my skin. I prefer to keep the micellar water in the fridge and use it on summer days to get a cooling effect while removing the makeup. The product effectively removed my face makeup. However, there were issues raised when using it on my eye makeup. I usually keep the soaked cotton pad on my eyes for 3-5 seconds and then gently wipe away the dirt and when I did the same, I noticed its ineffectiveness with waterproof products. I needed a soaked cotton pad to get the mascara removed and more pressure was needed and this meant that it did hurt my eyes. It was definitely not gentle! The same goes for long-lasting lipsticks but otherwise, I had no issues in removing the normal lipsticks. The product makes the skin look nourished and hydrated. It doesn’t make the skin look dry which is a plus!

The company claims that a rinse is not necessary but I would definitely recommend rinsing the face and then if needed, use this as a toner. I personally feel that there is some residue and nothing gives you a cleansed face other than water and face wash. But, this is personal and the choice is up to you. Overall, it is a pretty decent product. It is not a must-buy product but if you want to try something else, this could be a choice. So summing up
