My Experience with O3+ Plunge Foundation Stick Concealer Natural Cover HD Concealer:

Packaging: The foundation stick comes in a white paper carton with the company logo and the shade name mentioned on it. The foundation stick comes in a round, matte black, plastic packaging. It has a swivel-up mechanism just like a normal lipstick bullet. You will have to twist up and use it and the mechanism is really easy to use. The shade name is mentioned on the bottom of the bullet cap. This is super travel friendly and can easily come in your makeup bag. It eases the touch up process and also looks sturdy. Overall, I love the packaging.

Shade: O3+ Plunge has come up with a range of 6 shades for this stick foundation. Unfortunately, the shade range is not varied and you might not be able to find a good shade match if you belong to the dusky shade range. For fair skin tones, shades “Natural Skin” and “Ivory Flash” suits the best. The shades in this range mostly belong to the warm undertones. I picked the shade “Ivory Flash” as it seemed to be a close match to my skin tone. Upon swatching, it looks quite yellowish. Though the shade is not the perfect match to my skin tone as I have neutral undertones, but upon blending the yellowish effect decreases. I would have been happier if the brand launched it in 2-3 undertones for a particular skin tone. In the present collection, they have a dearth of shades and they must surely consider on expanding the shade range. Overall, the shade that I bought was a decent try to brighten out my skin tone.

Pigmentation and Texture: The pigmentation of this stick foundation is really amazing. The foundation is extremely buildable, and the stick is very easy to use, just use it directly from the stick all over the face. At first, I swivel the foundation in small areas and blend it out well. You can also apply a second layer if you want more coverage. The first impression of this foundation is that it helps to you to get an even toned look, hides imperfections and discoloration and gives you a fresh and healthy glow. The finish is neither matte nor dewy. Also, I feel the finish is more of a light to medium coverage. I can’t get a flawless full coverage look with this as you would get with a heavy liquid foundation.

While applying it in some areas multiple times, it never gives a cakey look. I usually prefer to use my fingers for blending when I am using it on a daily basis. The heat of the fingers helps to blend it out nicely. Instead of using fingers, you can also use a Beauty Blender to blend it out for a smoother finish. It works well in both ways. In this hot and humid weather, I have to make sure to set the foundation with some loose powder to ensure that it gives a mess-free look that lasts all day.

Another use of this foundation is that you can double it up as a concealer as well. I mainly have under-eye dark circles and I concentrate the product more under the eyes. You can use it wherever you feel the need to hide flaws and then blend it using a concealer brush/sponge. Then, once you get the desired result, put it on normally like how you would apply your foundation, but if you have major skin perfections, this might not work that well in giving you a flawless look. I don’t count this as a con as it saves me from carrying a concealer separately. Once set with a loose powder, it doesn’t settle into the fine lines of your skin. However, you should try not to put a thick layer of it in order to avoid it getting cakey. Also, you can use this as a stick contour for defining your facial featuresif you invest in a darker shade.

Now, let’s talk about the texture of this product. It goes super comfortable, soft and creamy on the skin. The feeling is lightweight and does not feel like you have worn foundation on your face. It doesn’t make your skin feel dry and allows the skin to breathe. Often women with acne stay away from heavy-coverage foundations as they clog pores, but this is a safe option for them if they are looking for something that can be used regularly.

Staying Power:  On my sweaty and oily skin, it stays intact for 4-5 hours. After that, the coverage looks faded from the T-zone areas. In order to get a better stay period, you have to use a primer and setting powder to keep oil at bay. However, I cannot call this as a sweat proof foundation as it does get melted in humid climate.

Overall, I really liked using the product. I was looking for lightweight foundation that can used daily and this fits the need well. I hope they will come up with a broader shade range to suit most women. Along with it, this foundation has to be necessarily set up with a compact to withstand the wrath of summers. Other than this, there are no major cons. I am happy with my purchase.
