I love to try different face washes. As summer is here, I needed a detoxifying face wash. So this time, I picked up Fabindia Charcoal Face Wash. Let’s get into the review.

My Experience with FabIndia charcoal Face Wash:

This face wash comes in an opaque white tube with black accents. The front and back have details which display the name of the product and picture of the main ingredients on the front and the ingredients list at the back. It has a simple and attractive packaging. The white colour flip open cap is tightly sealed so that the face wash doesn’t leak or drip. I picked up this tube as it is very travel-friendly.

The face wash is a black colour thick gel with tiny black beads in it. It is very mild on the skin. It doesn’t lather much but still, it cleanses the pores deeply. The tiny beads are not harsh on the skin. It gives a very mild exfoliation effect. It is perfect for everyday use. I have been using this face wash for more than 15 days. This is an exfoliating face wash but does not help much in removing white or blackheads. Once rinsed, it gives you a clean and fresh feeling. Also, it is meant for oily skin type. I have normal skin but as it is summer, most of the face wash suits my skin but this one made my skin dry.

The only plus point is it is free from 5 harmful chemicals (paraben, sulphate, silicone, EDTA and petroleum).
The fragrance is mesmerizing. It has charcoal like fragrance. The fragrance is mild and not strong. The fragrance is fresh and soothing, which I love. Most of the people will like such smell. The fragrance fades away soon post-rinsing. I feel that the fragrance is quite pleasant and refreshing.

I picked this face wash because it claims to be free from chemicals but it didn’t suit my skin. My skin feels dry and stretchy after rinsing.

Overall, I am ok with the fragrance and I love such deep cleansing face wash. I think it will suit oily skin type. Dry skin beauties can skip this. Still, if it would have worked on white or blackheads, then I would have been happier. I had more expectations from this face wash but it disappointed me.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend FabIndia charcoal Face Wash?
I am not going to repurchase it. I think that it will suit oily skin better. It is free from 5 types of chemicals and that is the only good part. Also, it is not a good option for normal to dry skin.
