My Experience with Yves Rocher Energizing Raspberry Peppermint Hand Cream:
Yves Rocher has recently introduced a new hand cream to its existing line. I have used most of their hand creams and am happy with the results. I bought the new one as it has raspberry and peppermint. I have used the body lotion and shower gel from the “Raspberry and Peppermint” range and loved it in the past.
The packaging reminds me of my childhood days when Borosil was used like a magic cream. This hand cream comes in a tube packaging with a screw cap. I normally would not prefer a screw cap since it’s not convenient to close the cap while balancing the hand cream on hand, but here is an exception. I do not mind this screw cap at all. The shape of the cap is also multi-cornered so provides easy grip. The tube itself and the cap are plastic. When you first look at it, it feels like metal, but once you touch you realize that it’s not metal anymore. The problem with metal was the sharp edge; it could hurt. The packaging is very similar to Crabtree and Evelyn hand creams. If you close the lid too tight, then opening it the next time can be little hard as the edges of the multi cornered cap can be hard on your finger.
The plastic tube is easy to squeeze and the quality of plastic is good. It does not feel like a drugstore hand cream packaging at all. The opening is pretty big for dispensing the product. One needs to squeeze softly to control the amount of product. I find the packaging very cute.
When I used the “Raspberry Peppermint Shower Gel, I had loved its fragrance. The fragrance of this hand cream is exactly the same. This is a must-have hand cream for all mint lovers. It’s not an overpowering fragrance, lasts for a few minutes after use. The colour of the cream is white and is quite thick in consistency.
The hand cream comes in only one size since the product is quite effective and one needs a very small amount, so it comes in a 30ml packaging only. The cream feels oily once applied but gets absorbed immediately. It leaves the skin soft and smooth. I love the feel of it. You can reapply the cream every 4 hours or so as per need. My hands tend to feel dry and I reapply every 4 hours or so.
If you wash your hand too many times, and have dry skin then this would not be sufficient. This will work well for people with normal skin types. Since it’s so small (packaging), it fits in to a clutch too. I love travelling around with it. Its perfect to keep in a handbag too. Overall, it’s a good hand cream, which is a must-have for me.
