My Experience with Wet N Wild Perfect Pair Ombré Lip Wand Pretty Pocket Pair:

Packaging: This lip wand comes tightly packed in a plastic film to prevent any tampering with the product. The lip wand comes in a dual ended lipstick bullet applicator with each of the shades in belonging to one end of the lip wand. The wand is black and the caps are transparent so you can see exactly what you get. The whole wand is very thin and light and the cap has that secure click when you close it. It is travel-friendly and can be easily carried in the makeup bag. The lipsticks are thin and the bullet shape is perfect that helps to create an even and precise application. The packaging is nice, but nothing very attractive.

Shade: The shade “Pretty Pocket Pair” is an irresistible combination of blue based red and dark warm brown colour. The combo is a killer one and will look extremely flattering on lips. It looks quite bold but if you are confident enough, then pulling off this shade won’t be much of a problem. The shade selection used in the making of this shade is awesome. It might look a bit vampy on fair skin tones. It will look better and more wearable on medium to dark skin tones. This is perfect for parties and weddings. I really love this shade a lot.

Let’s talk a little about how you can use this product. At first, line your lips and fill in a little of the outer portion with the dark brown colour. Then, fill in the center portion of the lips with the red colour and blend it towards the outer corners of the lips. Blending is very much necessary to get the proper ombre lip look. With this lip colour, I got the perfect gradient lips look. It instantly brightened my face and looked quite vampy, but I can easily rock this look with minimal eye makeup.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this lipstick is bomb. It goes fully opaque in just a single swipe. No extra effort is needed and you get the perfect colour payoff in a single swipe. I am quite impressed with the pigmentation at this affordable price. It can hide lip pigmentation smartly as well. You can layer the product for added coverage but since it gives a dry feel, it can end up looking patchy on excessive layering.

This lipstick has no specific fragrance, so it will not be an issue for sensitive noses. This crayon is really easy on the pockets, so I cannot complain about the pigmentation at this price point.

Texture and Finish: Talking about the texture now, it has a smooth texture that glides on the lips effortlessly for an even application. It does not cause any pulling or tugging during application. It delivers a velvet matte finish and the formula is comfortable on the lips if you have prepped it before. It is very lightweight and feels like I have not applied anything at all.

It is not a complete smudgeproof or transfer-proof lipstick, so it does get messy on getting in touch with objects. Let’s talk about one major con of this product now. This formulation can make your lips feel dry and flaky. It is not at all nourishing. So, prepping up your lips and scrubbing them before is a must. Otherwise, it will highlight the dry patches of your lips. It however did not highlight the fine lines of my lips. It also did not bleed or cause any feathering.

Staying Power: This lipstick easily gave a wear time of 5-6 hours without any food or drinks. If you are having oily meals, then the formula breaks down from the center of your lips but it does not fade away completely. It leaves behind a soft stain which I don’t like much. Removal of this lipstick can be best done by an oil-based makeup remover.

Overall: The colour is very pretty and it works well to give a gradient lip look. The shade is great for Indian beauties and the pigmentation is awesome. I would have been happy if it could be hydrating on the lips as well. Overall, an affordable and interesting product to choose from this brand.
