Today’s review is about Essence my must haves eyebrow powder in the shade “20 Bold Blond”. Eyebrows are the most important thing and is the first thing I do before applying makeup everyday. I have used Essence eyebrow products before and was quite satisfied. Essence came up with 2 new eye brow powder as a part of their “My Must Have collection”. I picked up both as I was not sure which might work the best. Today’s review is about the shade “20 Bold Blond”.

My Experience with Essence My Must Haves Eyebrow Powder 20 Bold Blond:

Packaging: The eyebrow powder comes in a tiny, round, black-colored plastic pan with a clear lid. The lid bears the brand’s tagline embossed on it. The Essence eye shadows from this must have line have exactly the same packaging. Since these pans have a sturdy lid, it is possible to travel with. There are also empty palettes available from Essence which can accommodate such pans. The lid of the pan shuts the pan but not very tightly. So, one has to be careful when it is in a bag where it can move around freely. On the back of the pan is the details regarding the shade and about the product. Such kind of pans does not eat up too much space in the vanity and can be easily stored. This product does not come with an applicator brush or a spoolie. But for this cost, we cannot complain much. Overall, the packaging is good.

I use an eyebrow brush to apply the shade wherever I have gaps or thin brows. The powder is well pigmented. But, the colour itself is light brown and is not suitable for Indian skin tone. For eyebrows, it is suggested to use one shade less than the hair colour. I have dark black hair and the right colour for me would be dark brown. This brown would suit very light skin tones or people with brown hair or blondes.

The product stays put for more than 8 hours. I have used this product in combination with other darker shade from Essence and it works well.

I personally liked everything about this product except the shade. I would suggest this shade if you prefer a light touch up for eyebrows and no major filling. Since it’s not expensive, you can use it as a beginner to learn and then go for an expensive product.

Do I Recommend Essence My Must Haves Eyebrow Powder 20 Bold Blond?
I would recommend this product if you prefer a very light product for eyebrows. It is hardly noticeable on darker Indian skin tones.
