My Experience with Catrice Powder Light Illusion Loose Powder Banana Powder:
The product comes in a nice round tub with a screw lid. The lid is tight and safe to travel with. There is a partitioning lid inside the tub with small holes for dispensing the product. The holes also dispense very little product. I prefer it this way. The packaging is made with a good quality plastic. The tub is transparent and you can easily see the amount of powder remaining and the screw cap is black in colour. The packaging all together is good.
The powder is light yellow in color and quite soft and smooth. I could not find any specific fragrance. The banana powder is supposed to impart yellow sheen to the skin which looks especially great on Asian skin tones. But, I found that the undertones of this banana powder is not yellow but kind of white. I have darker skin tone with yellow undertones and hence when used, it looks kind of white. I feel this product is made for lighter skin tones.
I have used the powder only under my eyes like baking but not really with too much product on. I use a little bit and spread it under the area and brush it off lightly.
I am not able to notice any kind of fragrance associated with the product. I also wished that the powder was even fine milled. The product feels slight grainy. What I hate most about the product is that it settles too much in between the fine lines and also clings on to the dry patches making it more visible. The best part is that it keep the area (where ever used) completely oil free even after 6 hours. As of now, I prefer to use it only under my eyes. It definitely not a must-have product.
Pros of Catrice Powder Light Illusion Loose Powder Banana Powder:
- Good packaging.
- Keeps the area oil free for up to 6 hours.
- Easy to use.
- Expensive (for the results).
Cons of Catrice Powder Light Illusion Loose Powder Banana Powder:
- Leaves a white sheen and not yellow.
- Not suitable for yellow under tones.
- Power is not very finely milled.
- Clings on to dry patches.
- Settles along fine lines.
IMBB Rating: 2/5
Will I Repurchase Catrice Powder Light Illusion Loose Powder Banana Powder?
I do not like the fact that it settles in the fine lines and is not suitable for dry skin. Baking is definitely not my cup of tea.
