I have never owned any liquid eye shadow in my stash. The Stila liquid eye shadows are definitely great given the quality but is heavy on pockets too. So, when Wet n Wild came up with their “Megalast Liquid Catsuit Liquid Eyeshadow” range, I couldn’t help but give it a try. Today, I will be talking about Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Liquid Eyeshadow in the shade “Shells and Whistles”. Read on to know how good it fared as a liquid Eyeshadow.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Liquid Eyeshadow Shells and Whistles:

Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Liquid Eyeshadow comes in a range of 4 beautiful party perfect shades. I wanted to grab all the shades, but sadly 1 of them were out of stock. So, I bought 3 of them this time. I will be talking about “Shells and Whistles” today.

Packaging: Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The eye shadow comes packed in a transparent plastic tube and it is possible to see the colour of the eye shadow from outside. The packaging looks quite attractive. The size of the tube is not very big, so it can easily fit in your makeup box. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube via a sticker. The packaging initially comes wrapped in a cellophane paper bearing all the details about the product and also the ingredient list. Overall, I love the packaging of these cute little liquid eye shadows from Wet n Wild.

I just feel that they are a steal deal at this price value. If you love liquid eye shadows but can’t afford Stila Glitter and Glow liquid eye shadows, then this is a much cheaper option to choose from.

Shade: The shade “Shells and Whistles” is a very beautiful rose gold shade and has a pearly finish to it. It does not contain chunky glitters. This shade has a fantastic chrome effect and looks a bit overpowering for daytime wear. When I swatched this shade in reality, it looked so gleaming to the eyes. It is a perfect party-wear shade and the rich chrome finish in it bumps it up to an extra level. It is mostly suitable for weddings and party functions. Though the Stila eye shadow is much loaded with shimmer, this is a close one similar to Stila’s formulation. The Stila one contains shimmers which is prominently visible whereas this particular shade isn’t much loaded with shimmers. This will look good on all skin tones. I love this colour so much.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this eye shadow is awesome. You will get a decent colour payoff at 1-2 swipes. For this particular shade, you don’t even need multiple swipes. It is that pigmented. I haven’t expected such amazing and richly pigmented packed formulations at such low prices. Overall, I love the pigmentation of these shadows.

Texture and Finish: Let’s talk about the formulation now in detail. This shade is very pigmented and I only needed about 1-2 swipes to make it distinctly visible on the eyelids. I found the texture to be very smooth and non-gritty. It is easy to layer it and is quite blendable also. But, if you keep on piling up layers on it, it can turn out to be patchy. So, avoid it. Also, I avoided touching my eyes while eye shadow was still wet. It takes about 1-2 minutes to settle completely to a matte finish. The application did not feel uncomfortable on the eyes. It just has the right amount of consistency and gives a lightweight feel post application.

If you have oily eyelids, the shimmer pigments can cause a problem by falling on your face after a few hours of wear. So, make sure to prep your eyelids or to apply some loose powder. Finger application will make the application easy and more even. You can also use a brush to blend it but I love to use my fingers for better and blending. Now, coming to it being a creaseless eye shadow, I did not notice any creasing with this. However, if you have oily lids, you can face creasing issues. Overall, I really love the texture of these shades and their amazing party glow like finish.

Staying Power: These shades stay in place for a decent amount of time without any creasing. They last for about 5-6 hours which I think are good at this price value. If you have oily lids, you will definitely need a primer prior to application; otherwise, the intensity will gradually fade away. These shades are easy to remove as well. They come off easily with any makeup remover.

Overall: This is my most favourite shade from this range since I love flaunting rose gold colours. Wet n Wild range of liquid eye shadows is a perfect treat to the eyes and will be best suited for you if you love shimmer eye shadows for party makeup. The shades are stunning and quality is also good. I would highly recommend the readers to check out these liquid eye shadows if you are on a low budget.
