Hello Beauties!
I always love matte foundations and tried a new product from W7. Today, I am reviewing W7 Heavenly Matte Foundation in the shade “Fresh Beige”. Now, let’s get into the details.
Product Description:
Price:
INR 625 for 40 ml
My Experience with W7 Matte Made in Heaven Foundation Fresh Beige:
Packaging: The foundation comes in a pretty clear glass bottle with a clear cap. It has a pump dispenser which makes it a user-friendly packaging and at this price rate, it is really a nice travel-friendly bottle. Pump pulls good amount of product at once which helps to control over the amount too.
Shade: Coming to the shade options, it is available only in 4 shades which is so disappointing and there is no such dark shades too. Even I couldn’t able to find my perfect match. The shade I picked called “Fresh Beige” and the shade looks quite nice initially and the actual color looks nice warm beige but by the time passes, it turns a bit pinky and the less warm effect looks different on my tanned skin tone. It doesn’t oxidize too much but definitely looks a bit different.
Coverage: The shade is well pigmented and provides buildable medium coverage. It can hide imperfections like spots, pigmentation, uneven skin tones, but you have to build up the shade for the best coverage. It can hide redness and darkness around the eye area. I am quite satisfied with the coverage as it is good for normal uses.
Texture and Quality: Foundation has medium-thick consistency that glides well on skin and blends effortlessly on it. I used both brush and sponge and it works with both the tools and gives a smooth flawless finish. The texture is soft and looks natural and fresh on skin too. Due to its thick texture, it takes a bit time to get the smooth finish and it needs proper blending. Once, it settles down, it provides a beautiful full matte look. Such matte finish is perfect for oily skin and keeps skin fresh too. But, due to its quick matte formula sometimes, layering makes the texture patchy so you have to be careful about it. You can’t layer it up once it dry out already. Then it looks heavy and patchy. Also, it’s not a super lightweight foundation, I’m not telling it a heavy foundation but still you can feel something.
Though it’s a matte foundation, it feels good on skin and not so drying for my oily skin. Maybe dry skinned people need good hydration underneath it, but it keeps my skin soft for long. Hence, it never clogs my pores. It suits to my sensitive skin well and never broke me out. Only it can’t control oil for long so I have to use an oil-free moisturizer or oil free-primer that helps to keep me oily-free. With a good matte primer, it works better to control oil.
Staying Power: On my oily skin, it stays around 6 hours without any creasing expect on my T-zone. It slightly moves from the T-zone after 3-4 hours and I have to set it. Also, my jaw line looks a bit patchy and the foundation starts to break from my slime line after that time period.
Overall: As a matte foundation, it gives nice fresh texture and the coverage is definitely good too. Only, I wish they have better shade options.
