My Experience with W7 Casino Blush, Highlight And Contour Palette:
Packaging: Probably this is one of their most beautiful packaged products. It comes in a mini flat container and the lid looks like a beautiful mirror. Over the mirror, there are some super cute prints and it’s all about pink. I absolutely love this super pretty packaging and it is a small palette that is easy to carry around as well. Inside the box, there are four shades but unfortunately, there is no mirror or applicator. Hence according to its price, I really like it.
Shades and Pigmentation: The palette contains four shades, two blushes, one contour shade and a highlighter. All the shades are shimmery, bright and perfect for all skin tones. The shades are pigmented too that requires only few swipes and I love the combination.
Highlighter: This is a beautiful fresh beige white highlighter and on skin it has slightly iridescent glow in it. You need a light hand stroke to get the beautiful glow but the shade initially feels a bit powdery so, I have to blend it well and it’s best to apply it with a small highlighter brush than a big fan brush. But as a highlighting shade, it looks so gorgeous. Only, it might look too white on dusky skin tones. It’s best for fair to medium tanned skin.
First Blush: Next is a beautiful peach blush that looks very natural on skin. I absolutely love this shade and it has that perfect natural finish that suits to all skin tones. It adds a fresh peachy glow on cheeks. The shade contains very fine shimmers that never look overpowering on skin. It’s perfect for everyday usage.
Second Blush: This is such a gorgeous bright pinky mauve shade that adds beautiful look to cheeks. When you are planning to create a bold bright makeup, then it can enhance the entire look. The shade contains fine shimmers that add more shine to the skin. Though the shade looks too dark on the container but on cheeks, it really looks pretty and very wearable for all skin tones, especially for dusky beauties.
Contour Shade: This is a nice brown shade with a hint of pink. Honestly I don’t think it’s a great shade for contour. If you want that perfect brown contour look, then it’s not for that. It’s a pink brown color that almost works as a blush and I love to use it for ‘Draping Makeup’. It works so nice and definitely gives a nice contour look. I like Draping makeup technique, which means to use a blush shade to contour your cheeks and it adds a nice dimension to my cheeks and acts like a bronzer. This shade is good for fair to medium skin tone. I’m not sure how much it will show on dusky beauties.
Texture and Quality: All the shades have very fine smooth texture that they feel very soft as well. Only the highlighter feels a bit powdery initially, but you can manage that with a nice blending brush and once you blend the shade, it looks quite pretty. Other shades work really nice and they never feel chalky. They have soft formula that blends easily on skin and leaves a natural smooth flawless finish. I love how evenly they blend on skin and also never clog my pores or never cling to dry patches as well. Formula feels lightweight, non-patchy and for all skin types. It suits my sensitive skin well. All the shades have shimmer but they look quite natural on skin too.
Staying Powder: Now, the longevity of the shades is decent for oily skin. The blush shades stay around 4-5 hours which is definitely good, but after that, the lighter blush starts to look faded, though the darker shades last quite well on face. Now, the highlighter lasts for some around 4 hours, but the shimmers look a bit messy and spread over my cheeks by the end of the day. It also depends on the weather. I sweat a lot so maybe because of that, it stays like this. Otherwise, blushes never look messy also the shimmers stay in its place.
Overall, it’s a very pretty palette and the shades are really nice for my skin tone. I love such mini palettes and mostly I love the blushes. According to its price, it’s a good palette for all.
