Hi IMBBians,
This is my second lip liner from the brand The Face Shop. I bought two lip liners from this range. I enjoy their lip balms, face wash and face masks and now I am trying to explore their makeup range. I use the brown and red shade lip liners the most because, they complement almost all my lipsticks. Apart from these lip liners by The Face Shop, I also bought mascara, makeup removers and other skin care products. Some I have already reviewed and other I am in the process of forming an opinion.
Product Description:
A retractable lip liner with a long-lasting color and creamy texture to enhance the lip contour. Comes with soft applicator brush.
Price:
$8
My Experience with The Face Shop Creamy Touch Lip Liner Dust Rose:
The product comes in a usual twist up lip liner packaging. It has a tube that holds the product and a cap to protect it. The other end of the tube has a brush applicator as well. I do not use brush to apply lip products because I find it unnecessary and unhygienic. The twist up mechanism seems sturdy and has not given up on me yet. The quantity is decent and the product will last at least a couple of months.
I enjoy trying products by this brand. It has some amazing skincare products and that is why I have started trying out their makeup as well. In the past, I have tried and reviewed several skincare and makeup products by this brand. Most of them performed well and received good reviews from me. The makeup products from this brand perform well, they are affordable and do not harm my skin. The lip liner in this post is very creamy and opaque.
The shade’s name is “Dust Rose” but is paler than the usual rose shades that I try. It gives a smooth, streak-less application in one go – it is creamy and smooth and gives an opaque finish but the application of the previous shade I reviewed (French Brown) is easier and better. It does not tug or pull or cause any kind of discomfort during application. In a couple of strokes, the full intensity of color is revealed, it covers my pigmented lips and it compliments well with dark smokey eye look.
The staying power is good so long as we don’t consume oily or greasy food. It acts as perfect primer for lipstick application. This color can be worn underneath a dark lipstick to give it a subtler appearance. Layering it with a lip color will prolong the wear time because, on its own the color does start to dull and after a few hours, reapplication is required – this is true for most lip liners. It can be easily removed with a makeup removing wipe. It does not have a strong fragrance and does not irritate my lips.
Of the two shades that I have tried, I enjoyed applying “French Brown” more than “Dust Rose” because, the former is creamier and smoother to apply, however, color wise later compliments my skin better.
Pros of The Face Shop Creamy Touch Lip Liner Dust Rose:
- Affordable and is worth a try for those who wear lip liner on regular basis.
- Color is a pink rose shade and can act as a good primer for lipstick application or can be worn alone, especially with dark eye makeup.
- Can be worn alone or underneath a lipstick – but it does not last long if worn alone.
- Prolongs the wear time of a lipstick and prevents lips from flaking.
- Does not dry out lips or fade in an uneven manner.
- Does not have a strong, unpleasant fragrance.
- After a couple of swipes it gives a creamy, opaque finish.
- Has other color variants as well.
- Comes with a brush, for those who use lip brushes.
Cons of The Face Shop Creamy Touch Lip Liner Dust Rose:
- Availability can be an issue for some but some Korean websites do ship to India as well or there are some third-party sellers that sell Korean brands.
- Brush is useless for me and can be unhygienic for some.
- Shade is not as smooth as the previous one I reviewed.
IMBB Rating: 4/5

I recommend this product to those who love pink shades. This shade will look pretty on almost all the skin tones and is perfect for those who wear light lip colors with dark eyes. It is affordable and comfortable to wear so, I do recommend it to others.
