My Experience with Nivea Sun Shine Control SPF 50 Face Cream:
The product comes in a cardboard package. There is a lot of information on the box. The product doesn’t come sealed. Once you open the package you will see the tube of the sunscreen. The package is pretty simple it comes in a white-blue-orange colored tube. It comes with a flip cap which closes with a click. There is information on the tube too. The tube is travel-friendly. There are 3 variants available in the Nivea Sun range: Shine control, Anti-Age and mousse. I picked up both Shine Control and Anti-Age creams.
The sunscreen has a medium consistency. It is a little thinner than a normal cream. It has a yellowish tint to the cream. It has a mild scent to it. The typical Nivea scent lingers in the sunscreen. There is SPF 30 and SPF 50 in this range. There is very little difference in the price and thus, I picked up SPF 50.
The application is similar to that of any other sunscreen. It fights against both UVA and UVB. So, it works against tanning as well as prevents any damage to skin by protecting it. The product has to be used after a moisturizer. When applied onto the face. The product melts onto the skin and doesn’t leave any residue. The problem with sunscreen is that most of them leave a white cast and with the Nivea face you have no issues with this. It is just like your day cream. The product provides matte effect onto the skin. The sun filters in the ingredients are nontoxic and are not irritating. It doesn’t cause any breakouts. The sunscreen provides a good base to the makeup too. The sunscreen provides moisturization to the skin too. One of the things I am not so fond of it is that if you dry flakes, it kind of accentuates it a little.
I have combination skin and one of the main reasons I picked it is because, it is shine control. It does control oiliness on the skin which is great. There was controlled oil production on my face too which was great. I was shine free for almost 5 hours which is pretty great. The product is not drying on the skin too. The product is very lightweight on the skin. The sunscreen does its job well. It does prevent the skin from tanning and is also great while you are doing sports. It also reduces the tan from swimming but, it kind of washes it away and there is tan but it is lesser. I absolutely love the sunscreen. So, summing up
