I wanted to have some quick-to-use eyeshadows in my stash that I can use on my lid whenever I want to create some quick makeup look. Eyeshadow crayons are not a great option for me as I have super oily lids. So, I have decided to buy a few shimmery, duo-chromatic mono eyeshadows and these are great options from Kryolan. Today, I will be reviewing a refreshing green shade from the Kryolan Viva Color range.

Product Description:
Viva Brilliant Color is a new make-up concept which is suitable for eyes, face and body. Viva Brilliant Color is a color intensive pressed powder with pearlescent effects which can be applied dry or with a moistened brush or sponge. This technique will once more strengthen the color effect and its adhesion. The pearlescent Mica pigments which are used are responsible for the exclusive luster and glitter of the product. No metallic pigments are being used.

My Experience with Kryolan Viva Brilliant Color Refill Lime:

Packaging:
The product comes in a refill pan with a plastic encasing that closes really well. This makes it super convenient as you can store it like that and do not have to buy an empty case to fit in the pan. You can carry it with you, too.

Shade:
This is a super refreshing lime green color with a shimmery effect. The green tone will suit everyone and it never looks OTT on the lids. If you want a touch of bright, refreshing color on your lids, pick this one. You can just dab the color on your lids and you are good to go. It suits every skin tone and looks great for both day and night looks.

Blendability and Pigmentation:
The shadows are pretty pigmented. The shade might look a little sheer due to the duo-chromatic effect but hides the darkness on the lids well. It blends well on the eyes. However, applying this with a brush can be tough if you are trying to pick the product directly from the pan using a brush. I prefer applying and blending it with my fingers when I want a subtle hint of color.

I have found another great way of increasing the intensity and shimmery effect. I use the back of my eyeshadow brush to scrape some of the shadows. After picking it up with a brush I wet the brush using a primer spray. As I apply this to the lid, the color looks super vibrant and provides great intensity. You can follow any application method depending on the type of look you want.

Texture:
The shadow is super silky and feels like a cream on the eyes. It actually feels like a creamy, shimmery crayon on the eyes. It does not feel powdery at all. It blends like a cream and stays intact on the eyes. It never feels chalky or patchy. It is a perfect replacement for eyeshadow crayons on my oily lid. When I scrape it off from the pan and apply it like a powder, there is some fall out initially. But when it is set, it never budges from the place.

Staying Powder:
It stays forever on my eyes even without any primer. It does not crease or fade with sweat and oil. I prefer removing it with an oil-based remover.
