My Experience with Garnier Ultimate Blends Green Tea Detox Shampoo:
The shampoo comes in a clear green bottle with a darker green cap. The design is very similar to the other ones in the range. The cap closes very well and you can be assured that there is no leakage from this bottle. The sleek bottle also makes it travel-friendly. The product like the other shampoos doesn’t come with a seal. There is some information of the product on the back of the bottle. Packaging wise Garnier shampoos are pretty great!
The shampoo is gel-like and has a semi-thick texture. The shampoo is transparent and smells very citrusy. The smell, however, stays only while you lather and fades away sooner. The shampoo lathers very well and is easy to rinse off too. The product is a mixture of 5 ingredients. The choice of the main ingredients are pretty good and cleanses the hair very well. Along with the cleansing, it also helps in eliminating dandruff to some extent.
The product cleanses the hair thoroughly and gets rid of any oil or dirt from the hair. If there is oil you need to wash it at least twice to get rid of the oil and if not just a single wash is more than enough for a good cleansed feel. Using a conditioner is not required if you follow up with a serum. The shampoo makes the hair soft and smooth.
While the roots are perfectly cleansed, I noticed that the ends get pretty dry after. Few hours and this following up with a good serum for ends would be advisable. The product makes the hair manageable too. What I like a lot about this product is the fact that it doesn’t make my scalp oily even after 3 Days. I have an oily scalp and it gets oily pretty soon and with this shampoo, I could go on for around 3 Days which is a plus.
The product is also free from silicones and thus, the results are long-lasting. The shampoo also adds a little bit of volume to the hair and gives a light lift to the roots. The product does contain SLS and since I have to use it once in 3 Days, the damage is little. Overall, it is a good shampoo. While I wouldn’t recommend using it every day, if you have oily hair this could be the perfect shampoo for you. I absolutely love this one.
