My Experience with Dr Organic Aloe Vera Gel with Cucumber:
The aloe gel comes in a cardboard box. There is a lot of information about the product on the box. Once you open the box, you can find the gel tube. The tube is transparent and you can easily see the contents of the tube. The plastic tube comes in a translucent flip cap which closes with a click. There is a little information on the tube. The tube is a little long for carrying but if you have no problem with the huge tube, you can easily carry it along without any issues. Since the tube is a upside down one, the aloe gel does come out more than needed so, you need to be careful while squeezing the tube.
The aloe gel has a gel consistency but is thinner than the natural one. It is transparent and has no added colors. It melts like butter and you feel as though it is evaporating. You have the same feeling as using a hand sanitizer. It smells very fresh and has a strong witch hazel hint in it. There are several variants available along with the aloe gel and I picked this one because, I was breaking out and I thought that it would help in that.
The aloe gel has the extracts of cucumber, witch hazel and calendula. I usually use it in the evening before applying my night cream. The product has a refreshing effect and adds a gentle cooling effect on the skin. If I am in front of a fan, it adds a chill effect and I absolutely love doing this in summers! The product is extremely lightweight and you hardly feel it on the skin. When applied, it does get absorbed very fast onto the skin. There is no residue once the gel gets absorbed. The product adds moisture to the skin and makes the skin supple and soft.
Due to the presence of witch hazel, you feel a little stinging on the skin and it kind of irritates the eyes too. But, this is only for a few seconds before it gets absorbed into the skin. So, I am not so sure if people with sensitive skin should use this variant as witch hazel can also cause redness. The aloe vera is great when you have a sunburn, it instantly soothes the skin and relives you from the pain. The product is not very moisturizing if you have combination or dry skin. I feel a little dryness once the aloe gel is absorbed. I usually top up with a moisturizer when I feel this stretching. The product is great for using on fresh pimples. It dries the pimple faster and prevents any scarring. The product also tones the skin well over a period of use. The product is free from a lot of chemicals like parabens, SLS, Synthetic colours, silicones, mineral oils etc. and is organic. Overall, it is better than the traditional aloe gel and is worth trying.
