Hi IMBBians,
I have never tried colourpop lippie stix but I regret not trying it earlier since they are amazing. There are two shades I picked up from their matte x range “Fly-Fi” and “Weekender”. The one I will be reviewing today is “Fly-Fi”.
Price:
$5.50 USD
Product Description:
Get one swipe pigmentation in a full-coverage, ultra matte finish in a comfortable formula loaded with skin-loving ingredients like shea butter and Vitamin E. No more missed connections when you wear this red terracotta.
Packaging:
The colourpop lippie stix comes housed in a white tube with colour coordinating ends. The inside of the tube is also colour-coordinated. The name of the brand and product is printed on the tube and the shade name is printed on the end of the tube. This particular shade was a part of their butterfly collection, which was later made permanent. The cap on this particular lippie stix has cute butterfly print which does get scratched away. The tube is a twist-up tube tube, through which lip bullet comes out.
My Experience with Colourpop Fly-Fi Lippie Stix:
These lipsticks are amazing. The pigment is highly saturated and it feels extremely lightweight on the lips. The colour “Fly-Fi” is a beautiful teracotta red shade which will suit a variety of skin tones. The lippie stix goes on super smoothly in a single swipe without any need for layering. It does slightly tug your lips when you apply for the first time but, when you overcome that, it applies very evenly. It has the slightest sheen to it which doesn’t bother me, but if you were looking for ultra matte finish, then this isn’t the one.
I dint notice any feathering with this. The only thing that bothers me with this is the bullet shape. It is a task to be in the lines and get a perfect application. I didn’t notice any scent to the lipstick. The formula of lippie stix feels very luxe on the lips. It also feels quite moisturizing on lips throughout the wear time.
While eating or drinking, I did notice a little transfer but surprisingly it was totally perfect on the lips. I got 7 to 8 hours of wear time with Fly-Fi before any reapplication. These remind me of some high-end lipsticks like Fenty Mattemoiselle and MAC matte formula.
Pros of Colourpop Fly-Fi Lippie Stix:
- Extremely pigmented.
- Slim tube.
- Smooth and even in application.
- Beautiful shade that will suit a variety of skin tones.
- Long-lasting.
- Feels hydrating throughout the wear time.
- It transfer but stays perfect on the lips.
- Fragrance free.
- Doesn’t feather.
Cons of Colourpop Fly-Fi Lippie Stix:
- Lack of precision because of the bullet shape.
- Transfers while eating or drinking.
IMBB Rating: 4.8/5
