This range by Tony Moly offers 5 different flavors. I have tried and tested all 5 flavors. This post is the review of the lip balm in peach flavor. In the past, I have reviewed the other 4 flavours. I have also reviewed two lip balms by other Korean skin care brands – The Face Shop, Skinfood and Etude House. I have mentioned before that the reason why I hoard lip balms is that I suffer from extremely dry lips and no amount of lip balm application can remedy that but this does not stop me from trying out new lip balms every now and then. I always buy lip balms as a part of my Korean makeup haul, and in this post, I review one of them.
Price: $10
Product Description:
This too-cute-for-words fruit shaped lip balm is not only adorable but also extremely hydrating and soothing. The lightweight and creamy formula melts into lips for long lasting moisture leaving lips happy and hydrated. Oh, and it smells delicious– you won’t regret it!
My Experience with Tony Moly Mini Fruit Lip Balm Peach:
The lip balms from this range by Tony Moly have the cutest ever packaging. These mini fruit lip balms are in the flavors of the most delicious tasting fruits. The packaging resembles the flavors; the ‘peach’ lip balm’s packaging is shaped like a peach. I bought all the 5 flavors because of their extremely cute packaging.
It looks like a tiny peach which is cut in half and the top half is a twist up cap and the bottom half has a tub to hold the product. The biggest – and perhaps the only – downside of this product is that I have to use my fingers to use the product. Like I mentioned in the reviews of other flavors, when I bought this product, I thought it would be in the dome shape like EOS lip balms and all I’d have to do it is slather it on my lips without digging my fingers into the product. This is, however, not the case with this product. I do have to pick up the product with my fingers, which seems unsanitary to me, but apart from that, I have no qualms about the packaging.
‘Peach’ is one of my favorite fruits and this peach flavored lip balm has a pleasant, “peachy” fragrance which resembles the subtle aroma of peaches. The texture of the balm is that of a shiny lip balm in a jar. It adds a faint tint and shine to the lips but nothing like a lip gloss and looks fairly natural on the lips. I am sure it will look even better on non-pigmented lips.
I really like this lip balm – it is moisturizing, adds a subtle shine to the lips, has a cute packaging and smells like peaches. The texture is lightweight and does not feel tacky or overly sticky. It is very comfortable to wear and stays intact for at least a couple of ours (survives through endless tea sipping). It makes lips supple, soft and well hydrated and preps them for lip color application. When applied as a part of nighttime skincare routine it makes lips really soft by morning.
Pros of Tony Moly Mini Fruit Lip Balm Peach:
• An affordable lip balm
• Comes in an extremely cute packaging
• This range (in equally cute packaging) has 5 different flavours
• Has a very subtle peachy fragrance
• Has a sweet taste
• Doesn’t feel uncomfortable even if a little bit is swallowed
• Does not contain heavy mineral oils which have a nasty taste
• Provides a moisture barrier and hydration to the lips
• Has real fruit extracts and flavors
• Has the goodness of shea butter and witch hazel
Cons of Tony Moly Mini Fruit Lip Balm Peach:
• I wish the packaging had the product in a dome shape like EOS lip balms
IMBB Rating: 4/5
Verdict: I like the aroma of the ‘Peach’ flavor more than the ‘Green Apple’ and the ‘Blueberry’ flavor. I recommend this lip balm to all those who regularly wear lip balms and it will serve the purpose of a good lip balm well. It makes the perfect addition to my nighttime skincare routine.
