Skin tone: medium fair, warm undertones
Hello everyone,
Today, I am reviewing L. A. Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick in the shade Buttercream. Read on for more details about the shade.
Price and Quantity: INR 395 for 3.5 g
Product Description:
Crazy about color – L.A. COLORS lipstick is available in a wide range of color options and two finishes – Matte and Cream. Color coordinated case featuring a modern, square design that has a glossy texture for the Cream formula and soft finish for the Matte formula. Both formulas leave lips feeling nourished and drenched in gorgeous color.
My Experience with L.A. Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick Buttercream:
The lipstick comes in a basic black colored plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The side of the tube has the shade name written on it. The tube is color-coded; this helps to easily spot the shade from makeup stash. The cap does not shut very tightly and may come off while carrying around. So, I have to be extra careful while carrying this lipstick to avoid any mess.
Also, a small part of the lipstick peeps out of the tube, so a little care is required while removing/placing the cap to prevent the bullet from getting damaged. The shape of the lipstick bullet shaped helps to achieve precise application. Overall, the packaging is very ordinary.
The shade Buttercream is a soft peachy n*de shade. It is a pretty everyday shade for fair skin tones. It is flattering exclusively for fair to medium fair skin tones but, unfortunately, this shade is too pale for deeper complexions and washes them out. The brand claims it to be crème lipstick but the lipstick sets to a creamy matte kind of finish in sometime.
It also have the tendency to cling to the dry patches, so it is always important to prep the lips well to avoid drying of lips. The lipstick is average in pigmentation and it needs to be layered on for full opaque coverage. Two-three swipes are required to build up the color on the lips. The finish of this particular shade is slightly streaky.
The texture of this shade is smooth. It does not cause dragging of the lips as well. It is not too lightweight but it is not heavy either. I can still feel the presence of the lipstick on my lips. It is not sticky or heavy on the lips. The lipstick is smudge-proof and does not mess around the lips. The formula is not heavily transferring but it does transfer a little. It survives normal sipping and light snacks easily but it fades away after a full meal. This shade is slightly drying as well.
The lipstick lasts around 4 hours on my lips with a little fading. So, it is not long lasting and requires touch ups. It can be easily taken off with a good makeup remover and it does not stain the lips.
