Skin Tone: Medium to Dusky

Hope you are all doing great. Lime Crime is one brand that is really famous for their long-wearing velvetines liquid lipstick range. Recently, they launched a new collection of liquid lipsticks called “Plushies Soft Focus Lip Veil”. Today, I am going to review the shade “Blackberry” from the Lime Crime Plushies range. Let’s see how this one fared for me.

Product Description:
Soft focus, non-opaque lip veil. Long-wearing formula dries down completely for a smudge-proof finish. For best results, exfoliate lips & apply lip balm prior to application. Apply Plushies and once dry, pat down with a finger for maximum plush. Looks great with lip liner and under lip gloss.
What it does: Makes your lips look soft and plushy. Enhances your natural lip color.
What it won’t do: Make your lips look harsh or overdone. Rub off prematurely or dry out your lips. Flake or peel.

My Experience with Lime Crime Plushies Soft Focus Lip Veil Blackberry:

These lipsticks come housed in a chubby see-through tube that looks so cute. The tube has the cutest pink cap with adorable teddy bears. The lipstick tube has a outer pink transparent plastic cover which is kind of sweet and different as well. The lipstick looks super pretty and the fonts on the tube is also gorgeous. The applicator is a soft doe-foot which is what I prefer in my lipsticks as I feel they create less streaks and it’s easy to get a precise application without a lipliner. So, thumbs up for that .

As I have told you before “The Plushies” are a new formula liquid lipsticks by Lime Crime. This range comes in a huge variety of 12 shades and all the shade name are based on a sweet eatable name like Marmalade, Butterscotch, Gumdrop, etc. I picked the shade “Blackberry” which is a sheer reddish berry shade. The color is so beautiful and will be perfect for the fall.

The Plushies are described as a “Velvety matte, soft-focus formula that enhances your natural lip colour”. These are almost like a lip tint as they’re very thin and sheer and they dry down completely and gives the effect of a matte stain.

The formula is very liquidy and they apply like a tint on the lips. They are lightweight and thin on the lips and doesn’t transfer or smudge at all. They are very comfortable and they don’t dry out or crumble on the lips. Since it is more of a tint, the colors are a bit sheer and we can’t expect full on opacity like normal liquid lipsticks. But, the color is easily buildable. After applying one layer of the color, it dries down completely and you can apply another fresh layer and you can follow again with an another layer if required. Usually three layers of the lipstick gives full on opacity and covers the lips completely, but if you want a sheer wash of color, then we can stop with the first layer itself.

They have a berry scent and the formula is so light that you’ll forget that you are wearing something. They are long-wearing and they fade evenly and once they dry down. They are smudgeproof and transfer-proof.

Overall, these are amazing lippies which will be a treat for anyone who hates over drying normal liquid lipsticks.
