Product Purchased by IMBB
Hi everyone,
This review is about a shade from the “Viva Brilliant Color” range of Kryolan. The shades in this range have a duo-chromatic metallic effect that looks great on other shades as well as when worn alone. I wanted to try a few shimmery eyeshadow crayons as they look great on the eyes on their own, but most crayons do not last long on oily lids, so I bought three shadows from Kryolan as they give similar effect. The shadow “Dragon Fruit” has already been reviewed on IMBB previously. I will be reviewing “Walnut” in this post today.
Product Description:
Viva Brilliant Color is a new makeup concept which is suitable for eyes, face and body. Viva Brilliant Color is a color intensive pressed powder with pearlescent effects which can be applied dry or with a moistened brush or sponge. This technique will once more strengthen the color effect and its adhesion. The pearlescent Mica pigments which are used are responsible for the exclusive luster and glitter of the product. No metallic pigments are being used.

My Experience with Kryolan Viva Brilliant Color Eyeshadow Medley Walnut:
Packaging: The product comes in a refill pan with a plastic encasing that closes really well. This makes it super convenient as you can store it like that and do not have to buy an empty case to fit in the pan. You can carry it with you too.
Shade: The color looks like a deep brown shade with a minimum hint of shimmer in the pan. However, once you apply the color, you see the magic. It reflects light and has hints of copper and antique gold in it. You can just apply it all over the lids and your eyes will look gorgeous. On days, when you are not in a mood to create a detailed eye look and still want your eyes to look good, these colors can save your day. I have mixed it with “Blueberry” and applied both on the eyes for the swatch and it looks pretty.
Blend-ability and Pigmentation: This shadow is pretty pigmented. It might look a little sheer due to the duochromatic effect but it hides the darkness on the lids well. It blends well on the eyes; however, applying this with a brush can be tough. I prefer applying and blending it with my fingers.
Texture: The shadow is super silky and feels like cream on the eyes. It actually feels like a creamy, shimmery crayon on the eyes. It does not feel powdery at all. It blends like a cream and stays intact on the eyes. It never feels chalky or patchy. It is a perfect replacement for eyeshadow crayons on my eyelids.
Staying Power: It stays forever on my eyes even without any primer. It does not crease or fade with sweat and oil. I prefer removing with oil-based remover.
Overall, I am very happy with the shade and finish and could love to try more from the range.
