I always wear a lip liner underneath my lipsticks or liquid lipsticks, for that matter, even a lip gloss. To some, it seems like an extra and unnecessary step, but it does make a difference to the shade of the lip color and also makes wear time longer and more comfortable. I recently did a huge Morphe haul and bought two lip liners. This review is on one of the lip liners and the shade is called “Backseat Love.”
Product Description:
Get a hold of our creamy Color Pencils for powerfully pigmented color that glides on and slays on. From on-point neutrals to beyond-bold gems, you’ll never run out of ways to line and define your eyes and lips. Go on and draw some attention your way. We dare you.

My Experience with Morphe Lip Liner Backseat Love:
This product comes in 70 different shades and the best part is that this brand thought of almost all the skin tones and tried to cover a wide range of colors and shades so that everyone can find at least one color that will suit their needs and their skin tone. Also, they have some fun colors such as green, blue, purple and black for some of us who love gothic looks.
The product comes in a sharpen-able pencil form. The outer coating of the pencil is matte black in color and gives it an expensive look (its look is comparable to lip liners from MAC). Another commendable feature of this product is the quantity. The pencil is longer than usual lip liner pencils and the only lip liner that I have used as long as the one by Morphe is by NARS.
The shade of this lip liner is pale pink and looks like a neutral flesh color when applied on lips. It has neutral undertones and can be worn by both cool and warm tone beauties. This shade is perfect color to achieve a n*de lip look for fair skin beauties. For my skin tone or darker, it is too pale and garish and can only be used as a base color (lip primer) only to accentuate the lip color and increase the wear time of lipstick or lip gloss. It is very soft and smooth to apply and I was surprised how well it glided on lips. It gave an opaque finish in one go and gave a soft matte finish. I then further layered it with a brown lipstick on one occasion and wine on another. Both the times, it performed well, gave more color to my lips, and increased the longevity of my lip color.
In conclusion, I would say that I am really happy with my purchase. You cannot go wrong with these Morphe beauties. They are affordable, have good color pay off, don’t dry out lips and do add to the color and wear time of the lipstick. It can be bought in Ulta retail stores but most of the Morphe products are always sold out so we have to buy them online.

- It has a cream-matte finish, can be worn alone as well or underneath a sheer lip gloss.

Cons of Morphe Lip Liner Backseat Love:
- The product has a strong smell of wax and oils but it vanishes soon after.
- This particular shade cannot be worn alone on my skin tone.

Morphe brand has received raving reviews by Youtube makeup gurus and I can see why. They are affordable and perform well. I do recommend this product to the readers especially if they can pull of n*de lips.
