Pat McGrath lipstick has gained popularity immensely and she keeps expanding her range over time. I have quite a few lipsticks from her “Mattetrance” range and they are “1995,” “Omi,” “Flesh 3,” “Full Panic,” “Elson,” “Obsessed,” “McMenamy,” “Antidote,” “Full Blooded,” and “Vendetta.” Yes, that’s a lot but these are the best lipsticks that I have ever tried. The shade that I will be reviewing today is “Antidote.”
Product Description:
A richly pigmented lipstick that adorns lips in a lightweight veil of opaque color for a modern, matte finish.
MatteTrance™ is a richly pigmented lipstick with a sensually creamy, powerful pigment that evokes screen siren glamour with every application. Each shade is presented like a jewel in a black-lacquered couture case fashioned with a sensually surrealist golden lip that’s destined to be a cult-status collectable.
Get entrancing color that satisfies with supreme hydration and opulent matte opacity. Flaunt this richly pigmented formulation, cloaking lips in a lightweight veil of rich color. It’s infused with optical diffusers that blur the appearance of imperfections, combined with a blend of polymers to provide flexibility and adherence. An advanced formulation of spherical particles ensure a creamy soft texture for the smoothest film of color. Each shade is enmeshed in a powder film combined with saturated pigment for lightweight opaque coverage. This lipstick lays down a high impact with a strong finish.

My Experience with Pat McGrath MatteTrance Lipstick Antidote 207:
This “Mattetrance” lipstick comes housed in a very beautiful metallic black case with moulded gold lips on it. The case is quite heavy and screams luxury. The black with gold detailing makes it look very luxe and classy. The name of the brand and shade are printed on the bottom of the tube.
“Antidote” is a purple color with slightly pink undertones that would suit most skin tone. The pigmentation of this lipstick is unreal! Unlike other shades from the “Mattetrance” range, this particular shade is not as opaque as others and needs two to three swipes to gain full opacity.
It feels very smooth and soft on the lips. Though in the bullet, it looks extremely matte, it imparts a slight sheen after application. It has no fragrance and is perfect for people who hate fragrance in their makeup and skincare products.
This lipstick feels like a dream on the lips. It is extremely lightweight and makes lips look full and plump. This Mattetrance lipstick also doesn’t cling on to dry patches of the lips neither it settles into fine lines. It is not transferproof but the pigment doesn’t go away from the lips even when you eat or drink. I didn’t notice any feathering with these lipsticks. I got around 6 hours of wear time with this lipstick.
