My Experience with Batiste Stylist Texture Me Texturizing Spray:
Batiste texture me texturizing spray comes in a long cylindrical metal can with spray nozzle. The bottle is quite colourful and quirky in appearance. Two latest additions – shield my locks heat and shine spray and texture me texturizing spray – from the Batiste stylist range has added too much colour to my dresser. The spray nozzle works perfectly and dispenses the product evenly. The can houses all the information regarding the product. Overall, the packaging is easy to use and travel-friendly.
When the nozzle is pressed, the product comes out evenly. It contains starch that provides it with the white powdery finish. The white powder does not sit over the scalp and hair. It does its job and disappears through the time I am done with running my finger. The product has a refreshing fragrance which lingers there for a few hours. On the other note, the product contains alcohol.
After washing, my hair remains all good, shiny, textured and full of volume for 2 days and as soon as the 3rd day hits, they start looking oily and my top looks flat. I usually opt for pony tails and like to have textured hair as it defines the ponytails perfectly. So, I needed a product that would add texture to my hair while absorbing the oil that makes my top look flat. Hence, when I came across this product, I instantly bought it as it fulfilled all of my criteria. It can be used whenever you want it to use.
To use, I keep the can 6-7 inches away and spray the product all over my sectioned hair – starting from roots to ends. Sometimes, I only spray it over the roots if I only want my flat top to get some volume. When I feel like I have sprayed adequate amount, then I run my fingers to work up the volume and texture. The product feels cool when sprayed over the scalp and it does not leave any residue behind. Also, it does not need any massaging; the product just does its work while I run fingers through the hair. If I am opting for ponytail, sometimes I brush through my hair lightly.
After spraying and running my fingers through the hair, I instantly see a boost of volume on my 3rd day hair – it feels like I have shampooed and blow dried them. The flat top does not look flat at all and the hair doesn’t look greasy or dirty. It soaks up all the oil from the scalp and hairs, making them look fresh, clean and textured. The spray provides hair with a kind of matte finish and there is no stickiness at all. However, if I spray more than needed, it dries out the hair as well. Hence, it is important to not go overboard in the greed of textured and voluminous hair. The spray also provides a bit of stiffness initially that is negligible and disappears in an hour or so.
The product works throughout the day as whenever I feel like the volume and texture is disappearing, I just run my finger and massage a little bit. It makes them appear voluminous and textured again. But, I don’t feel a need to do so for around 5 hours or so.
To create tousled look, I spray the texturizing spray all over my hair and crunch them. It wonderfully provides them volume and makes them look naturally messy and textured. I liked the versatility of this product. It can also be used before creating a bun as it lifts up the roots easily and makes hair easy to prep.
Overall, I am impressed with this spray as it works well to provide hair with texture and volume.
