Hello ladies,
Glad to be back to IMBB after a long vacation. Hope the IMBB army grows bigger every year and a happy new year to all the lovely readers. Today I will be reviewing one more product from Shea Moisture. I am a big fan of their products and have tried almost every range. This shampoo belongs from their anti-breakage range with yucca and plantain extract.
Price: $10.99
Product Description:
This Sulfate-free shampoo gently cleanses hair and scalp, removing impurities and product build-up. Smoothes hair cuticles to reduce frizz and improve the appearance of split ends. Certified organic Shea Butter, Plantain and Yucca combine in a strengthening formula that helps weak hair resist breakage. Baobab Oil and Cilantro Extract help refresh and boost shine.
Ingredients:
Water, Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Glycol Stearate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Panthenol, Stearamide AMP, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Fragrance (Essential Oil Blend), Yucca Brevifolia Root Extract, Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Extract, Plantain (Musa Paradisiaca) Extract, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Glycerin (Vegetable), Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid
My Experience with Shea Moisture Yucca and Plantain Anti-Breakage Strengthening Shampoo:
Like any other Shea Moisture shampoo, this one is also free from parabens, sulfates, gluten, mineral oil, synthetic colour and animal testing. The packaging is similar to the other shampoos from this range. Not very impressive but the transparent bottle helps us to know the product left inside.
The shampoo has a nice floral fragrance. The texture is very creamy and spreads easily on the hair. The fragrance lingers for few hours even after the wash. I use this shampoo along with other Shea Moisture products and it makes my hair look thicker, but only on the day of my hair wash.
The main reason I bought this shampoo is that it has yucca which is very good in controlling dandruff. But I don’t see any visible difference in dandruff. If you are used to high lathering shampoos you might feel that this one isn’t cleansing enough but it actually is.
I was not very sure about the anti-breakage claim but I feel that I have lesser hair fall in the shower and my hair feels less frizzy after drying. You might not find an immediate result in hair breakage and the split ends.
The product takes a long time to show results and continuous usage is required. Though it controls the frizz, my hair looks dull after the wash if I skip the conditioner. Hence, I would recommend using this shampoo along with the conditioner from the same range for more effective results.
Pros of Shea Moisture Yucca and Plantain Anti-Breakage Strengthening Shampoo:

Cons of Shea Moisture Yucca and Plantain Anti-Breakage Strengthening Shampoo:

IMBB Rating: 4/5
