Hello IMBBians,
Let’s face it. We all have become makeup fanatics, all thanks to IMBB. With the application of makeup comes a huge responsibility of removing it so that the skin stays good as usual. There are several cleansing products available in the market. I recently picked up a cleansing brush from Olay and today’s review is all about Olay Regenerist 3 Point Super Cleansing System. Read on to know more.
Price: £39.99
Product Description:
Time to rethink your cleansing routine? Designed by Olay in partnership with a team of dermatologists, the 3 point super cleansing system is proven to cleanse up to 4x more effectively than manual cleanser alone.* It also prepares your skin for your anti-ageing routine.
Up to 30% increase in absorption of anti-ageing ingredients. As effective as a £180 cleansing device
How to Use:
Dampen facial skin and brush head lightly with water, dispense skin renewal cleanser in your hand and massage over face. Turn on cleansing brush and gently move around the face for approximately 60 seconds. Rinse face and brush head thoroughly with water.
Installing brush head: Press the brush head onto the connection pin until it locks into position with a click. For best results, replace brush head every 3 months or sooner if bristles become worn. Keep out of reach of children.
Installing batteries: Gently rock the battery compartment side to side while pulling to release battery cover. Insert 2 AA batteries aligning +/- symbols. Replace battery cover. Replace batteries as needed. Do not mix old and new batteries as unit may be damaged.

My Experience with Olay Regenerist 3 Point Super Cleansing System:
I wanted to buy a Silk 2 Pure or a Clarisonic brush. But, since it is so expensive, I always procrastinated the purchase. I spotted this recently at a local store while doing my makeup and skin care shopping. Since it came from the reputed brand I decided to pick it up.
The cleansing system comes in a red shaded cardboard box. The design is similar to the Olay Regenerist range. The product comes sealed with a plastic wrapper and there can be no tampering issue. Once you open the box, the contents are neatly arranged. The contents of the box are 2 AA batteries, 1 brush head, the brush body and a 20 ml Skin Renewal Cleanser. The usage is pretty easy: you dampen the face, apply the cleanser, and then spin on.
The Brush:
The body of the brush is white in color and has grey highlights. You need to attach the brush head to the body. The batteries have to be inserted from below the brush. However, opening this is very tight. I struggled for around 5 minutes to open this part. I wish they had some easy way of removing this part.
Once you place the batteries and the head in their respective places, the device is ready to be used. There are 2 buttons on the back: one is the speed and other is the power button. You can select from 2 speeds and I always prefer the 1st-speed setting. The brush is very compact and can be a perfect travel companion. Since the product is battery operated, you don’t have to worry about carrying a charger or don’t have to wait to charge in case you forget.
The brush is extremely soft. When you switch the power on, the brush spins and you can move it on your face. Since it is small, it can be easily used around the corners of your nose and mouth for getting rid of the dirt/dead skin cells and also whiteheads. You can also dampen the brush and use. I usually remove the brush head, dampen it and then wash it. The brush head has to be replaced every 3 months. The brush head is easy to wash too.
Skin Renewal Cleanser:
The cleanser is a trial pack. It comes in a 20 ml white tube with a black screw cap. The product has a thick, gel-like texture and consists of tiny granules. The smell is pleasant. The granules are very minute and easily dissolve when applying on the face. I use the cleanser alone, the results are good. I, however, use a gentle cleanser as the brush itself is exfoliating and I do not want to top it up with another exfoliating cleanser.
I use the brush only in the evening when I want to remove my makeup. I try to time the application for only 1 minute. The soft bristles feel great on my skin but there are chances of over-exfoliation too. My skin turns a bit red after the usage but the redness disappears quite fast. So, I am not sure if this can be used on sensitive skin.
The brush cleanses the face very well and removes dirt and grime very effectively. When compared to a makeup cleanser, this one is far more superior in getting even the last point of the makeup from the skin. The skin feels also very soft and smooth. I don’t have any issues with breakouts for now. The skin also feels very fresh.
It also removes dry skin from the corners of the nose. One of the issues I face with this is the usage near the eye area. One has to be extremely careful when dealing with this sensitive part. Overall, it is a great affordable cleansing system.
So, summing up:
