My Experience with Wet n Wild Color Icon Ombre Blush Mai Tai Buy You a Drink:
Packaging:
The blush comes in a small black box with a clear lid that makes it easy to identify. It feels super light and easy to carry around. It doesn’t contain any mirror, though. Otherwise, it is a very affordable blush.
Shade and Pigmentation:
It is available in two shades and I picked up this pretty shade called Mai Tai Buy A Drink. The name is quite cute and intriguing. It is an ombre blush which starts with a warm peach shade and ends with a light peachy-beige shade. The color looks so fresh and natural. It contains micro-shimmer particles that provide a nice, dewy look to the skin.
I can use the peach shade individually as a blush and the light peachy beige shade as a highlighter. If I mix all the shades together then I get a milky peach shade. This variant is actually best suited for fair to medium skin tones. It is good for daily purpose and adds a freshness to the cheeks. The shade is decently pigmented, but since it is a light shade, I have to layer it up to get the color on the skin.
Texture and Quality:
This blush has a soft texture that blends smoothly on the skin. The formula is very soft and lightweight, hence it blends evenly on the skin and doesn’t feel chalky or patchy at all. It does contain shimmer but never looks overpowering (or OTT) on the skin. It gives a beautiful illuminating glow. It also never clings to dry patches and never clogs my pores.
It gives a beautiful, fresh and pretty look to the skin, which looks good even on my oily skin. It gives a flawless finish and sometimes I don’t need to use a highlighter. It also never dries out my skin. It feels soft and smooth on the skin even during this winter season. On my sensitive skin, it works well and has never broken me out.
Staying Power:
The blush lasts decently – around 5 to 6 hours. The color starts to look faded after that. The shimmer in this blush never moves from its place and keeps my skin mess-free. The product never settles into the fine lines and never does not make my skin oily either.
Overall:
It’s a very natural-looking shade for daily use. It gives a pretty peachy glow to the skin. It is a nice, budget-friendly illuminating blush.
