Hello IMBBians,
A few months ago when I was need of a hair dryer during my travel, I picked up a compact hair dryer from a local store in Prague. And today’s review is all about Remington Compact 1800W Hair Dryer D5000. Read on to know more about the same.
Price: $25.50
Product Description:
For glamorous hair on the go, this dinky little compact dryer packs a punch for its size with an impressive 1800 Watt power. The D5000 hairdryer is so easy to use, simply choose from the cool, medium or high heat settings, select one of the two different speed options and get styling!
My Experience with Remington Compact 1800W Hair Dryer D5000:
The hair dryer comes in a sealed cardboard box. The box houses an instruction leaflet as well as the product. The box is a bit bigger than what is inside. There is some basic information on the box in different languages, which is a plus. I picked up this model because it was eco-friendly and compact.
Even though it is compact, 1800W is pretty good and powerful. There are a hair dryer and a concentrator in the box. The hair dryer is black in color. The length of the cord is pretty big and makes it easy to plug-in. The concentrator is easy to use, too. The buttons are on the handle of the dryer.
There is a hook, which lets you hang the dryer. There are 3 heat settings and 2-speed options. The speed has 2 levels. It gushes the fan effectively and helps in drying up the hair effectively. The speed of the wind is very effective. The eco option is great for effective utilization of power and heat.
The hairdryer is great for wet hair and also to add bounce to the hair. The product doesn’t tangle the hair, which is pretty great property. The product doesn’t cause any frizz. It adds a light shine to the hair. The first heat option is cool and this is great if you don’t want to use heat on your hair. When you change the second option, there is a very little difference in the heat of the hair dryer.
The third option is pretty good and it can be of good use when you need to set your hair. The second option is great for a blowout; the heat is moderate and doesn’t cause any flyaway. The third option makes my hair a bit limp and a heat protection spray is needed to make sure that no damage is caused to the hair.
There is no diffuser nor it can be folded, which is a bit uncomfortable, especially when you are travelling. The hair dryer can be used to create immense volume to the hair. Overall, the product is okay. I didn’t plan to buy it, it was something I bought out of a need.
So, summing up:
Pros of Remington Compact 1800W Hair Dryer D5000:
⦁ Can be used to create volume.
⦁ Eliminates frizz.
⦁ Adds a little shine to the hair.
⦁ Doesn’t make hair limp.
Cons of Remington Compact 1800W Hair Dryer D5000:
⦁ Cannot be folded.
⦁ Not so travel-friendly.
⦁ The heat is pretty strong and a heat protection spray is needed.
⦁ A bit expensive.
IMBB Rating: 3/5
