Skin Type: Normal to Dry
Skin Tone: Fair to Wheatish
Hi, girls!
Here is another post from my winter essentials shopping. Today, I am going to review a new shade from the Lakme Lip Love Lip Care range. They have recently launched two new shades of this lip balm. Here is the review of their ‘Mango’ variant. Let’s get into the details.
Price: INR 180 for 3.8g
My Experience with Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Mango:
Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Mango comes in a nice and bright yellow and pink coloured cardboard paper packaging. All the details are nicely described on the outer packaging. I ordered it online and my lip balm came slightly broken from the tip. It can’t be returned. So, I tried it with a heavy heart. The cap comes off easily, hence it is not super travel-friendly.
The shade ‘Mango’ comes in a bullet packaging. The bullet is bright orangey red in a bright yellow tube. It is a sheer lip balm with very medium pigment. When swatched on the hand, it looks quite peachy orange, but on my lips, it looks bright peach and not orange. The shade looks natural and pretty on my lips.
This shade doesn’t contain any shimmer and it gives lovely tinted lips. The pigmentation of this shade is low and the actual colour isn’t noticeable on the skin. The balm can’t hide lip pigmentation totally.
The texture of this lip balm is very smooth, almost like butter, and it glides easily on the lips. It has a creamy core which provides smooth application. It gives a nice shine to my lips. If I layer it up, it looks glossier and shinier. It provides nicely moisturized lips and makes my dry lips instantly soft. The tint looks cute and gives a healthy glow to my lips.
The balm feels light on the lips and is non-sticky. It heals my dry lips nicely but I feel this balm is not moisturizing enough for winters. It has a beautiful and fresh scent of mango candy. I totally love this yummy smell which stays on for 10-15 minutes after the application. It also has an SPF of 15, which is great.
It doesn’t stay for long on my lips. Without having anything, it stays for around 3 hours. After 2 hours, the tint fades a little but my lips still look soft. It fades after a meal and then my lips start to feel dry. So, a reapplication is required.
According to its price, it should have had better staying power and better pigment. It is not a great option for winters, and also can’t work on super dry lips. Overall, I quite like this natural peachy shade.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Mango?
Honestly, I have used better and long-lasting lip balms. So, according to its price, it is quite an average product for me. But, lip balm junkies can try this cute peachy shade. It makes lips hydrated and smells nice too.
