If you choose the right concealer as per your skin type and complexion, it can help you cover any blemishes, marks and dark circles. It is hard to find affordable concealers with good texture; however, ColourPop is never behind in launching affordable makeup products, without compromising the quality. So, I am reviewing another great product by ColourPop, which was launched this year itself. ColourPop No Filter Concealer is available in 15 shades and caters to all skin tones. Make sure you pick the right shade.
Price: $6 for 4.0g (0.14oz)
Product Description:
A lightweight, creamy, full-coverage concealer formulated with soft-blurring pigments to create the ultimate matte, flawless complexion. Use to conceal blemishes, highlight your under eyes, or contour! Blend with a sponge, a brush, or fingers to create an airbrushed finish.
Ingredients:
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Caprylyl Methicone, Butylene Glycol, Silica, Cetyl Diglyceryl Tris(Trimethylsiloxy)silylethyl Dimethicone, Peg-10 Dimeticone, Dimethicone/vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Phenyl Trimethicone, Alumina, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Sodium Chloride, Bis-peg-15 Dimethicone / Ipdi Copolymer, Peg-2 Soyamine, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Trisodium Edta, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol, Pesudoalteromonas Exopolysaccharides, Citric Acid, Sodium Salicylate, Plankton Extract, Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891)
Packaging:
The concealer arrives in a small transparent glass tube, which shows the exact quantity left inside. The white cap opens to a flat wand, which is the most comfortable and gentle thing to ever be called an applicator. I have never seen such a smooth and lightweight wand and the formula that blends so gracefully in a single swipe. Overall, the packaging is travel-friendly.
Shade:
Beige 25 is for peach undertones, i.e. for neutral undertones. Alas! I wish I knew that before buying. Having warm/yellow undertone, I don’t prefer this concealer to cover my dark circles and rather use it under my whole eye to brighten that area.
My Experience with ColourPop No Filter Concealer:
The packaging of this concealer is extremely hygienic. The doe foot applicator makes it very convenient to use, unlike jar packaging where the application needs to be done by fingers. I use 3-4 drops on the under eye area creating a V, dragging it downwards on the cheekbones and towards the corner of the eyes, which is a traditional way of highlighting the under-eye area.
The texture of this concealer is just so perfect. It blends so gracefully when you gently dab it with your blender. Since my under eye area creases a bit, setting the concealer with a translucent powder becomes mandatory. No matter how much I bake the under eye area, it creases after a few hours. So this is one downside of this concealer.
The formula is soft, light-weight and hydrating. Also, when it comes to shades, it is really hard to choose it online. I expected beige 25 to be a light beige colour, with a yellow undertone but turns out it has a pink undertone, which is not very flattering for most of the Indian skin tones. So, I would prefer to grab some other yellow based shade the next time I order from ColourPop.
