Skin tone: medium to dusky
Hello sweethearts,
Hope you are doing great. Essence Cosmetics recently launched its ‘Blossom Dreams’ range. This range offers two lip pencils: Kiss From a Rose and Call Me Coral. Today, I am going to review Essence Blossom Dreams Velvet Lip Pencil 02 Call Me Coral. Let’s read how it fared.

The wooden pencil can be sharpened and offers bright colours with a fabulous coverage for velvety lips.

My Experience with Essence Blossom Dreams Velvet Lip Pencil 02 Call Me Coral:
This lip pencil comes in a small, sturdy, wooden sharpenable pencil form. The pencil depicts the colour of the product and also has a silver cap. In short, it looks like a mini but jumbo lip pencil.
As I told you earlier, there are only two shades in this line. The shade ’02 Call Me Coral’ is a muted coral shade and is perfect for spring and summer seasons. This shade might not flatter deeper skin tones a lot, but you may add a darker lip liner to make it work.
Since this is a jumbo pencil, it can be used as a lip pencil as well as a full on lip colour. It is pigmented, long-lasting and non-drying. It prolongs the wear time of your lipsticks, and when worn on its own, it looks like a normal lipstick.
This jumbo lip pencil convinced me with both – its amazing pigmentation and its softness. It is extremely soft and glides just like butter on the lips. This is the creamiest and easiest to use lip pencil I have in my collection.
This doesn’t tug or pull the lips. It gets applied easily, just like a lip crayon. As the name suggests, this pencil does give a beautiful velvety feel during application and then it settles to a satin velvet finish on the lips. There are no chances of breakage even when maximum pressure is applied since the pencil is chubby enough.
Coming to its longevity, it stays on my lips for around 6 to 7 hours, which is quite decent for a drugstore product. Overall, I like this product as it is quite nice. I hope Essence adds more shades to this range.
