Hello everyone,
Today’s review is about Crabtree and Evelyn La Source Seeweed Shampoo. I have tried a lot of Crabtree and Evelyn products and I have lately realized that I have never checked out their hair care range. So, in my recent Crabtree and Evenlyn haul, I added a few hair care products too. In this post, I am reviewing the Crabtree and Evelyn La Source Volumising Seaweed Shampoo.
Product Description:
Restore your locks to optimum condition with our mild marine-enriched La Source Volumising Seaweed Shampoo. A special refreshing marine blend of antioxidant-rich green seaweed extract and brown algae extract add volume while purifying. Hair is left feeling wonderfully clean with a healthy-looking shine. The relaxing sea breeze scent soothes the senses as you massage this richly-lathering shampoo from roots to tips. Sustainably harvested green seaweed extract hydrates and adds shine. Brown Algae Extract purifies hair, making it feel voluminous. Work into a rich lather, massaging from roots to tips. A blast of cool water after rinsing seals hair’s cuticles and boosts shine. Suitable for daily use on all hair types. Formulated without mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, or propylene glycol.
Price:
$18 for 250 ml.

My Experience with Crabtree and Evelyn La Source Volumising Seaweed Shampoo:
The shampoo reminds me of aqua, beach, sand and sun. The shampoo comes in a tall cylinder plastic bottle. The bottle looks light sea blue/green and the color is very relaxing I find. The cap of this bottle is metallic silver coated. It comes with a press button on top of the lid. The press button leads to a small opening through which the product can be discharged. Overall, the packaging is pretty good and definitely travel safe.
The shampoo itself is transparent. The consistency is like that of oil. The shampoo lathers very well and also easy to wash off too. The shampoo is supposed to be made of seaweed. This I guess explains the reason for me not liking the fragrance. I felt the fragrance to be not so pleasant. I am so used to great-smelling hair products that this came as an unpleasant one. I am not telling that it smells bad or something, the smell also does not linger around after washing hair.
I use a big coin-sized amount of shampoo for my shoulder length hair. It cleans hair and scalp well and does not irritate the scalp or accentuate hair fall. Since the shampoo contains extracts of seaweed and brown algae, it reduces frizz and adds shine. I had used a similar shampoo from Dove with similar ingredients and had noticed frizz-free hair.
This shampoo not only reduces frizz but also adds volume to hair. This shampoo is free of mineral oil, parabens, phthalates and propylene glycol. Overall, it’s a good volumising shampoo but it is definitely expensive.

Cons of Crabtree and Evelyn La Source Volumising Seaweed Shampoo:

IMBB Rating:
