In fact, the general consensus of opinion is that you should aim to not go any more than three hours without eating something. Tangerines, which are sometimes called mandarin oranges, are a really refreshing citrus fruit that contain a whole range of nutritious ingredients, including Vitamin A and C, potassium, and folate. You could eat two average sized tangerines for a snack and you would have consumed fewer calories than you would if you had drunk a glass of orange juice.
4. Granola bars
You have to be careful with granola bars, because, while some of the big brand bars may look healthy when you look at the photo on the packet; some of them contain as much sugar as a candy bar and a whole heap of processed ingredients too. If you buy granola bars from a health store, though, you should find that they contain only natural, healthy ingredients. A good, natural granola bar will fill you up, provide plenty of fibre, and it will give you an energy boost too, so it also deserves a place in our list of healthy snacks to eat throughout the day.
