Dear IMBBians,
A good body wash is a must to keep ourselves clean. Gel washes are convenient for summers and today’s review is all about Yves Rocher Citrus Flower Shower Gel. Read on to know more about it.
Price and Quantity: $4.50 for 200 ml
Product Description:
The sparkling freshness of citrus flowers at daybreak is captured in the soft, light lather of this shower gel. Enriched with organic Aloe Vera gel, its formula is ultra-gentle on your skin and leaves it delicately scented. The Plus : Very gentle on skin.
My Experience with Yves Rocher Citrus Flower Shower Gel:
The shower gel comes in a clear, transparent long bottle with silver flip cap. The plastic bottle is made from recycled plastic and thus it is environment-friendly. The bottle is not very hard but it takes a lot of effort to squeeze the shower gel especially when it is at the end. The bottle doesn’t come sealed and there is information on the back of the bottle. Considering its sleekness, it is also travel-friendly.
The flip cap is very tight similar to the other ones from the range. It can easily damage your nails. But, the bottle has a screw cap and this comes to the rescue. The tight caps make the product spill free! The shower gel has a semi-thick consistency and is transparent to light yellow in colour. The smell like the name suggests is citrusy and is very refreshing. However, it is very mild and pleasant.
The shower gel lathers very well with or without a loofah. So a little product is more than enough. I have been using this gel mixed with water before application so that I do not end up using more. Since I use the screw cap, I always use the product more than necessary and with this shower gel, I noticed that it has been severely drying my skin. I have been having dry patch skin even in this summer!
The shower gel itself doesn’t have any moisturization properties and thus, it does dry out the skin after a shower. A good moisturiser is a must to be followed up with. It does make the skin soft and supple. The freshness of the citrus is the best part of using this shower gel. It instantly lifts up the mood and wakes you up! It easily removed body odour and also controls it for most of the day.
Since it contains Aloe Vera, I have been using this post beach- days and it provides a relief to the skin without irritating or causing redness to the skin. Thus, the product is also suitable for sensitive skin. I wouldn’t recommend this product for winters or for dry skinned as it only worsens the case. The product is made from natural ingredients and is paraben free but, it does contain ALS.
So, summing up:
Pros of Yves Rocher Citrus Flower Shower Gel:
• Lathers very well.
• Affordable and travel-friendly.
• Eliminates body odour.
• Refreshing fragrance.
• Makes skin soft and smooth.
• Made from natural ingredients and is free from paraben.
Cons of Yves Rocher Citrus Flower Shower Gel:
• No moisturization property and thus, a good moisturiser has to • be followed up with.
• If the product is used in excess, it dries the skin very much causing dry patchy flakes.
• Contains ALS
IMBB Rating: 2.5/5
